What is the reason that a good guy may not wear his wedding ring?

I see a lot of guys that are nice, smart, attractive, and funny that seem to be good catches but then I later find out that they are married. They are happily married and do not flirt with girls or look to find 'on the side' relationships, but they do not wear their wedding ring. Why not?

Why do I only get answers from girls on this question? The question is directed toward men to get their answers. These guys they are not playing sports or working with their hands. They are in class with me, or around the area we live just hanging out.

My Uncle doesn't wear a wedding ring because after ring number 5 he got tired of having to buy new ones. They were always falling off when he was in his back yard or falling down the drain, one time he said he was just hanging around the house, didn't go anywhere and he had it on in the morning and it was gone at night. He had the rings sized perfectly every time and they just kept falling off so now he doesn't wear a ring because he can't afford to/doesn't want to have to keep buying new rings all the time.

maybe they forget to? I mean a lot of them have probably never worn much jewelry, so when they take it off, maybe they forget to put it back on. I know I do this a ton. I hate jewelry, and I can't even imagine keeping a ring on my finger for 50+ years..

makes sports harder, basketball, volleyball, even in soccer its against the rules !
