You've got the problem most people have, assuming belly fat is only related to stomach exercises (sit ups, etc). It's actually a little more complicated than that. You need to do two things, improve your overall fitness level and start eating healthy.
Start exercising on a regular basis. What you do for exercise is up to you; something is always better than nothing. If you can play sports that is probably the best because it's exercise disguised as fun. Walking, running, rowing or anything else really. You just want to be active. If you're the type that can consistently go to the gym and not get bored then that's great. However, a lot of people struggle at the gym and end up quitting a month later because it becomes too tedious. Try googling for some fun workout routines that you won't get bored with.
Onto healthy eating, the thing that most people struggle with. Why? Because it's EASIER (and often cheaper) to go to mcdonalds and get a hamburger rather than prepare something healthy to eat. Something you can try to start is keeping a food journal. Write down everything you eat during the day and do this for a week or so. Then look back and examine what and how much you're eating each day, you may be a little surprised. If you really want to get brave then google for a calorie counter and plug each item you're eating into there and record the totals. You'll probably find that your calories/fat intake are very high.
To help with healthy eating do some googling for easy and tasty things to make, there are so many websites offering this information. Also, perhaps the biggest thing for someone of your age (who I assume is living at home) is convincing the rest of your family to try and be healthier. It gets very hard to eat healthy if the kitchen at home is constantly full of junk food. See if you can slowly influence the grocery shopper to start picking healthy alternatives.
Don't expect an overnight change, this is something you'll have to work at a bit to get results. However, if you can make these changes to your lifestyle you will not only look better (less fat, more toned) but you will feel better, too.

Best answer pretty much said it all, but it also depends on what healthy foods you eat. You can eat something that is really healthy for you but if it has a good amount of carbs, you're going to end up building muscle and adding a little extra fat as well. Keep an eye on the sodium intake as well, depending on your height and weight, you probably shouldn't take in more than 2,000 mg of sodium a day. Sodium is good for you especially after a workout, but to help lose the fat only take in so much sodium a day. Everybody already knows about calories so shouldn't have to say anything there, and also protein. This will help build up some of the muscles you worked out, and the building of muscles will over time help burn the fat as well. Depending on how much fat you have, and how extreme your nutrition diet is, it could take anywhere from 3 - who knows how many months. It might not even take you 3 months, but on average 3 months would be about how long it would take if you are serious about it.
It's hard to lose fat in only a certain area if it's the part of your body where fat loss happens last... since you are thin everywhere else but have a little belly fat it would be really hard to get rid of BUT you can make your stomach look smaller/flatter by eating less salt and avoiding foods that make you bloated such as beans... If you eat very little salt and drink lots of water that will work!
An exercise (if that's what your looking for) that I know works is lay flat on your back arms at your sides, and keeping your legs straight and together raise them slightly off the floor
try and keep them off the floor as long as you can
just don't wave them really high in the air, your s'posed to feel your muscles working

Well, this requires a rocket science type of answer. Let me think:
1 - Eat less food;
2 - Eat healthier and natural food;
2 - Don't sit on your ass all day;
3 - Exercise;
4 - When going to places, walk, run or cycle there.
Not everyone can have a hot bod without hard work, like I do.cardiovascular exercises, running, areobics ect... :) then do sit ups for definition
