Are therapists covered under OHIP?

My psychiatrist is always fabricating problems about me that don't exist, and I loathe him, however, my parents force me to see him every month, because I need him to write me letters of recommendation to universities, and to get me deferred exams when I'm having trouble with school. Now because I've been refusing to take medication for one year, he says he won't treat me anymore unless I start doing what he says. My parents will not let me see a psychologist because that's not covered by insurance since I'm no longer a full time university student. I don't know what route to take. I need a health practitioner to bail me out of tough situations by writing letters to the university on my behalf.

Whatever you do, don't take the pills. Why can't you say you took the pills without taking them?

Or are the pills the ones where they have to check your blood level to make sure they don't reach toxic levels? Cause if you don't need the blood tests, then get the pills, throw them away and tell the shrink uve been taking them. Yep, those pills will probably f*** you up more than they would help you.

What I find hilarious about your post is that if you got the intelligence to post this question, then you got the intelligence to bail yourself out of tough situations; the problem is that you're used to having somebody else do it for you, so of course, you'll never take ownership of the problem, and thus you'll never do it yourself. So what route to take? Do a bit of growing up, and take responsibility for your actions. 8)

It's my father's idea for me to see a psychiatrist. I don't want to see one. I'm wiling to accept that I will never return to university and I look down on my father, because he doesn't want to develop me emotionally or morally, he just wants to develop me socially. I personally think it's disgusting and I agree with you.

I don't understand; I think most of us develop emotionally and morally on our own; sure, we got pointers from parents as kids, but once you reach a certain age, then you start doing your own research and you go your own way. My parents were ardent catholics for example; gave me moral foundations; but at age 13, I had enough of that, and started looking for my own beliefs, so spent a lot of time experimenting with other beliefs. But again, I took that initiative. Same to the emotional level.
