What do you think of this hangout/date? Thank you in advance

Met on a dating website. Hung out few weeks later after talking a lot.

Supposed to go get some food, walk & talk, then movie. We left it until last minute, so the mall was closed by the time we met up. So we walked & talked for a few minutes, then headed to the theater.

He paid for the tickets, food (I didn't order because I wasn't hungry) We sat a few rows from the back of the theater. We sat through the trailers watching them and talking about ourselves and laughing. I was so nervous. His arm touched my arm a few times by accident on the arm rest. He apologized.

That happened a few times. Sometimes, he'd move it, and sometimes we'd leave them touching during the movie. We laughed and talked a small amount during the movie. We laughed together. A few times when we looked at each other I noticed his eyes were different.. Like he was looking at me a little bit longer/weirder than normal. It made me feel warm, then I would look away because I'm shy.

He opened some doors for me. Drove me to my car and asked me if I'd like to hang out again, maybe next week. We hugged when meeting, then hugged good bye. He insisted that I'd text him when I get home.

I felt like it went well, but I didn't look at body language at all, I was too nervous. He seemed fidgety and I was fidgety as well. He kept drinking his drink every few seconds throughout the movie.

We leaned in a few times and whispered something about the movie, or a joke throughout the movie.

Are there certain signs I should've been looking for to see if he was truly interested? All I know is I had a good time and told him.
