It's pretty normal to increase intake of food when stress because as your stress level rises, so does the acid levels in your stomach, in order to counter this, you eat food but, there are better ways to combat this.
You should look into ways into reducing stress (therefore lowering acidic levels in your stomach and you eating like crazy) by doing positive things; cleaning stuff, something athletic like walking, running gym or try a new sport, or go hang out with friends etc..

There's mothing wrong about eating while being stressed, I do it all the time.
I would try other methods if you want to get rid of it, maybe excersize, or watch a movie, or talk to a friend, take a nap. These are methods that other people use.
i do a few things if I get the urge to eat somethin that I shouldnt. I either try to make a short call to someone to get my mind off it.
drink water. or buy flavored gum. it'll keep you occupied for hours.
