what are the best strengthening and cardio workouts to lose weight the fastest?
how much weight have you lost in 3 weeks or a month?
P.S. I weigh about 180lbs and am 5'6"
An easy way to lose weight is to increase your protein intake and decrease your intake of complex carbs (breads, cereals, pasta etc.) BUT- and this is important- you HAVE to increase your calorie intake to speed up your metabolism. Eat more meat, drink more milk, emphasize the fruits and vegetables, and don't cut complex carbs out completely, just reduce them and stick with whole grain stuff when you do eat them. If you eat 3 large meals and 3 small meals/snacks throughout the day, it keeps your metabolism working all the time, thus promoting weight loss. Also, make sure you eat after a workout- you want to give your body something to metabolize and you don't want it to be the muscle you're working so hard to build. And, drink lots of water- staying well-hydrated is essential! I also find it useful to keep track of what I eat in a day- that way I know if I've taken in enough calories and it also keeps me from eating stuff I'm trying to avoid unconsciously because I have to think about it while I'm recording it.
As supportive as I am of your healthier, fitter you project- I just want to emphasize that everyone has a body type and a weight that's healthy for it, height is not the only factors. There are usually ranges for your gender, age, and size category that tell you what a healthy weight is- I reccomend looking some of them up just to give yourself an idea for a realistic goal. And remember- if you're building muscle then you might not be losing as much weight, but you WILL lose inches. Good luck!

i trained and biked like crazy in the hot sun for a two week period. I also didn't eat that much.
i ended up going from 170 lbs to under 150 lbs in under 2 weeks, I'm 6 foot 1.
was super skinny but I gained some of it back and I feel great now.
imo if you want to lose weight reallllly fast and you have a lot of willpower do a lot of biking (2-3 hours a day, every other day) at a low heart rate. maybe 150 beats/min.
you can do other things like elliptical or running, but make sure its at the appropriate heart rate.
I can usually tell if its at that rate by the fact that I'm sweating and my muscles are feeling it but in my head I always think. can I do this for another 2 hours if I needed to? if the answer is yes then you're at the right rate.
as well do whole body muscle training, or some kind of yoga/pilates, your metabolism will spike.
combine that with a really low fat diet and your body will burn through your fat super quick. no meat, lots of beans, lots of salads.
get a buddy to do this with you though.
its going to be pretty tough otherwise.
Eat 3-to-5 smaller meals a day by eating every 3-to-5 hours
Eat only the foods that help you lose weight by eating some complex carbs & lean proteins at each meal
Before each meal - Eat at least 1 whole raw fruit or vegetable with 8 ounces of water
Stop eating at each meal when you feel 100% satisfied
Do sexercise often

Don't they say [i]healthy[/i] weight loss is between 1 and 2 pounds a week? In other words, you have left it too late. But you can still lose some weight, improving your looks and confidence
