It's not just the fat girls who get teased about their weight! I get teased about being thin. Just today I was at work (a store) and a woman (she wasn't just a bitchy teenager) must of been about 40yrs old, she told me to "go eat a few hamburgers" it's just as hurtful as a fat girl getting a comment like "there's a beached whale" etc. I can't help being thin, and I don't even think I'm an unhealthy weight. I'm 99lbs, but I'm not very tall so I'm in proportion. What should I do? I don't want to be thought of as unattractive.

I was pestered quite a bit in middle school for being thin, and still am to this day. People have their own reasons for picking on others, but you can only control how you deal with them. You don't owe anyone an explanation about your size. Politely saying something simple like "I eat just fine, thank you." or "Actually, I am happy with my body the way it is." shows the person that not only are you refusing to play along, but that you are not going to get hurt by their comment. Since you are not ruse or defensive in return, you will give them nothing to bicker about or hold against you. Good luck!

yup,a lot of my friends get teased about being thin ''oh look how flat she is'',''oh she has no ass'' blah blah blah...but it doesn't matter if you're ''fat'' or ''skinny'',the only thing you should look out for is being healthy,fat girls should loose weight as long as it's healthy,w/o puking,not eating etc. and same goes for skinny girls,they should eat more only if it will help their health,not chow down on junk food just to get bigger

I think it's because they assume that you purposefully don't eat healthily and have anorexia and stuff like that. Otherwise, simple-minded dumbasses use others merely as an instrument of releasing stress, therefore you should just not care if you know there's nothing you're doing wrong and there's nothing you can do. There are guys for every body type, really.

As long as you have healthy food habits then tell people like that to shove it.

If its at work and you don't want to be rude, then say, "My Doctor has actually said that I am of a healthy weight, but thank you for your concern... bitch" (that last bit said under your breath after they walk away.

Don't worry about it, some girls are naturally smaller.

yeah I thought it was pretty rude! I just pretended like I didn't hear her. Yeah I am comfortable with my size, and it's not like I starve myself. I eat well. I don't have a boyfriend :( I never have had one.

By not being rude you are hurt and expressing that by asking question in this website. If you been rude and confident then you will feel better. She is not nice to you, why you only. May be you should talk all your talks very quietly, so that only she can hear you. AND become very confident, if you are confident you will get boy friend. I use to have girls who use to hate me because I was skinner than them. so I know where you are comming from. But the best way is to stand up to them and not to let them walk over you.

I get that too I've noticed that the people who comment on my weight are heavy. They are just jealous and I take it as a complement...no sense getting worked up over it if you're secure with yourself :)
