So where DO you go to meet a girl?

OK, I think I've asked something like this before, but my situation hasn't changed appreciably, so I'm dragging it up again. I'm well out of school, gainfully employed, so...where is there to go to meet a woman?

I've just been in the area a few months and don't really know many people here. The place I work is mostly male, mostly married, and other than an occasional Friday Happy Hour the people aren't into hanging out after work. So, no potential wingmen, or even drinking buddies. Sometimes I go out to a bar or club, but it feels kind of awkward trying to talk up women when I'm out on my own, especially since they're usually in a group. Tried the internet dating services, but everyone seems to flake on a moments notice. So how do you meet someone?

And those of you still in school - appreciate it while you can.

Sports clubs and Supermarkets. I met mine at a sports club, where both our families were members of.

Before I was taken, I liked to start conversations with girls in the supermarket, ask them if they ever enjoyed a guy cooking for them, I usually got a positive reaction. I would chat with them till we get to the register and exchange numbers.

In the Sports clubs, it gets a bit tricky because everyone is busy playing a sport and probably don't pay any attention to anything or anyone else except their sports activity. The key is to go talk to them while they are resting and taking a breather before hitting the showers, or after the shower when they are at the juice bar or any other food court. Ask which sport they do and take it from there.

i would go to the mall and hit on a girl you think is hot I mean it ain't gonna hurt nuthin if she turns you down ther are a lot of women in the mall just keep trying

Seems like most of the girls at the mall are either there with their kids...or are kids.

If you want a real relationship I wouldn't recommend going to a bar/club. You can meet them anywhere where women like to go, typically the mall.
