The best advice I can give is:
-Talk to the people you work closely with and trust, they may be able to help you feel more comfortable.
-Talk to a medical professional (doctor/psychologist) about methods to control your anxiety, be that medication (works for me) or some natural remedies. - -
- Take some time off, especially if there is something going on at work that you find particularly stressful.
-Staying physically active makes a world of difference. I started cycling after my depression started evolving into anxiety and panic attacks. You might not notice the first couple times, but once it becomes a part of your routine you'll find you're loads happier. I hope that helps!
- Also, drink more water (actual water as a beverage, not anything with caffeine). Dehydration is very subtle and can exacerbate anxiety symptoms. If your urine isn't nearly colorless, you might not be getting enough water. It's almost impossible to drink too much, so drink up! -Go to the restroom and splash cold water on your face when you feel particularly anxious. This can improve circulation and alertness. -Cut back on caffeine. -Find alternate forms of communication. If face to face conversations are stressing you out, use the phone or email instead. -Go unplug somewhere. Get off the grid and go fishing, or hiking, or just turn off your phone and do a Netflix marathon in your pajamas. Whatever floats your boat. Hope you're feeling better soon :)

Give yourself permission to relax a little. This takes practice, but keep telling yourself everything is ok right now it should eventually cut down some of your stress. Sometimes just stick your hands in your pockets, relax, and take three deep breaths. Inhale through your mouth kind of hard, then slowly exhale through your nose. These are cleansing breaths. Stop any thoughts that are bad about yourself. Don't shame or blame yourself over things that haven't happened. Personally, my father has anxiety and I believe I got it from him. I do take anti-anxiety medicine, however, they are addicting. They can help though. Buy some of the tea's at the store that say "CALM" on them because they do help to keep you calm. They have tea's at the grocery store to help you get a good night's rest. They are the "SLEEPY TIME" tea. Remember to give yourself permission to take care of yourself and have good and positive self-talk in your mind. When I would get difficult assignments at work, instead of stressing out, I would tell myself that I have had difficult assignments before and I got through them, so I know I can get through this too. A big hug from someone helps too.
Stop drinking caffeine if you do now.
Focus on getting full night's sleep.
Get out in nature even if it's a small as going for a 30 minute walk outside in the morning.
Allow yourself to decompress on your days off.. reserve your thoughts about work for when you are at work. When you are on your personal time, use it for just that, things that matter to you
Work out. Veg on Netflix. Chill with friends. Drink. Hobby. Maybe your side hustle you want to replace your job. Whatever it is. Use your time for you so that you can recharge emotionally.
If there's one thing I know how to do it's how to relax LOL. Meditation definitely helps and I recommend it, but the average person feels like meditation is too much of a chore to get started doing if you're not already doing it
But meditating would make a big difference too
I have dealt with anxiety for many years. The one thing I can say is that others can think what they want, but it is you that has to make a choice to do something different. I had to take meds at first, but now only take bc something for my depression. I had to make small changes to progress myself over time to a point where the anxiety and worry doesn't control me. It's still there, but only a little bit. I don't know if it will ever completely go away, but that's ok. I'm functional now in my life. I don't get panic attacks etc... anymore. You can only control you. Once you accept that and believe it does it becomes easier. Good luck to you. You can do this.

2. Break the mental habit immediately, step away, take a walk.
3. Take breathing techniques to condition the body that it is no longer in danger and away from the stressor.
4. Take a moment to pause and take gratitude. Smaller the better. Are you appreciative of your hands? etc. This takes consistent and persistent practice..

—Cognitive behavioral therapy articles and quizzes on vida (app) please check it out and request a therapist (it’s free through my health insurance)
—Calming app has really good meditation videos and you can log how you are feeling
—Drink at least 8 glasses of water a day
—Exercise walking or jogging
—Cut back on caffeine
—Read or audio booksHaving anxiety doesn't just go away. You have to be actively working on it daily just to be able to manage it. Breathing exercises help a little. And telling yourself that you're ok. Also doing activities that alleviate stress. I recommend coloring. I've also been working on making calm down kits for my students and I've found that adults could benefit from them as well.
I have trouble with the same thing so you're not aloneAnxiety and stress is caused by an inflammation in the brain Sometimes it's a lack of sleep or an unbalanced diet limit stimulants like caffeine and limit alcohol exercise to increase your resistance to stress as when you exercise you are stressing the body in a good wayThere are things like hypnotherapy or one that I want to try is Ayahuasca but is illegal in the US but other psychoactive plants like Psilocybin which is found in magic mushrooms there's also plants that don't have psychoactive effects like rhodiola rosea or lavender and others and there is also GABA Would recommend asking your doctor before taking any of these
I kinda have anxiety too. Since you're doing a good job at your workplace I would continue to put effort into your performance. Keep up the great work. Maybe you could consider getting therapy if that's an option for you or you could try meditation. I think it would be helpful to leave work at work and not think about your job during your time off.
Just tell yourself that you can complete the task when you are at work
simply think positive, when the negative thinking comes up just push
it out of your mind and move on, if we think positive things do come
out better and also say your prayers that will help too.Its really hard i go through the same as well some days are so bad where I get into panic and can't think straight.
You can try therapy that has helped me somewhat, but what has helped me more is exercising and taking walks/hikes listening while to music.Try meditation when you get home - I read the effects are cumulative so you might not see results right away but keep plugging in at it - there are free instructions for transcendental meditation online - it used to be a secret people paid thousands to learn but now some clandestine reporters are teaching it for free.
Its not an easy process. Essentially you're trying to re-eire your brain. I try to rationalize when my anxiety kicks in. Figure out whats causing it, then ask " is it something I can fix?" And if it is then ho ahead and fix it and it'll calm your anxiety. If it isn't something you can fix then rationalize "its not in my control so I can leave it be"
sometimes, we just need to take a moment to breathe and calm our mind. We all have a battle with our head. We must turned those negative dialogues off. You can try therapy to navigate how to redirect those thoughts. We all shared levels of anxiety as well. I can also overthink. But it can have a negative impact in our mental health and energy if we let it continue to put ourselves down.
Well, first work is kinda important, second you could have started with something nicer than HOE! (Yes, i know i saw the correction, but it was just still funny) The only thing I can suggest is meditation and focused imagery. If that doesn’t work, then it’s definitely time to consider pharmaceutical intervention! Especially… Xanax!
Go see a therapist. They'll give you professional advice and not shitty advice from a friend. I'm currently seeing one and it helps. I hope you get better.
I bite my fingers a lot because of my anxiety. But I started taking vitamin B-12 and it helps a little.Take a few moments and just empty your mind of everything. Picture a person that has no anxiety about anything and really consider why and how they are able to be without it. Then realize that you are that person too. Remember to relax your breathing for a few moments everyday and be thankful for all the support you have from everyone around you. After a few weeks you may feel less anxious. If not try finding other solutions.
Nobody's out there to get you and nobody expects anything from you more than any of your co-workers.
Take it easy, there's absolutely no need for you to overexert yourself.I'm struggling with this as well. It comes from over thinking and it's emotionally draining. Start by talking yourself out of thinking about the certain things and think about something you're hopeful of and happy about. Tell yourself you're not gonna entertain negative thoughts cuz u know how it's gonna make u feel
Some work places have employee assistance services where you can talk to counselors about work stress and even life stressors, they might be able to give you advice on how to handle this type of anxiety.
"I'm not on any drugs or meds."
Well, be cautious and sparing with anti-anxiety medications, but they really CAN help, just so you can function on the job or get through the day.I am going through the same, I tried taking my foot of the gas for a few weeks. Hoping to come back fresh
Everyone has an opinion. Center yourself and spend some time inside your mind. Question why and seek answers. They're in there. How far back do they go? Once you've got the answers to your questions you can then direct yourself better.
I'd suggest the how to deal part to leave to a therapist. If you can afford it, or have it covered in health insurance, I'd recommend going. You might need long term but they can help with how to manage. Be well and good luck.
