For anyone who has tried this doing this help?

I'm trying to give up all technology except for my computer for a week. For anyone who has gone a certain amount of time completely or almost completely without technology. Does it improve mental health and/or make the person happier? Also depending on if you deal with stuttering/stammering, does no technology help with this? I deal with stuttering quite badly and am tired of being laughed at in public places so I want to get rid of my stuttering or improve it. So far my production in the day has been noticeably better. I started reading a book and went for a workout.
