I had braces for a few years (that's 3) and ended up moving in with my Mom. Mom wasn't going to pay for it so I basically had to wait for everything to break off. My teeth went right back into having gaps which kind of sucked since I now have scars on the insides of my cheeks and dealt with pain like that just to remove any gaps.
To tell you the truth I think I'd be wearing retainers even now. I'm better off just having T-rex teeth. You get past those school-age years and nobody gives a shit anymore. The whole ordeal (oral lolz) was a waste of time.
i would love to go back and punch my teenage self in the teeth so i have to get braces... back then my family insurence would have paid for all of it. now it will be super expensive for me but i just didn't give a shit about my looks back then xD
I had my braces removed when I was 15. My teeth came in straight, so I really didn't need them but my mom had them put in to correct some rather gnarly buck teeth I had when I was a child.
s I ended up having mine longer. My orthodontist said 2 years, but it ended up being 3 years.

in western countries braces are ugly but in my country you look cute with braces. in fact i ask my mother that i get braces because i wanna look cute and yeah i think a lot of guys like me IRL when i had braces when i was in college. sounds funny right? but it is the truth and nothing but the truth as always 😊
No. I had to wear mine for 4 years. But to be fair my grill was a train wreck before them. What sucked was I didn't realize how much I'd have to wear my retainer afterwards. I didn't take it seriously enough and me teeth shifted back a bit.
No. Roughly the same time as initially estimated. About a year and a half.
Lets just say I hated my Highschool Senior photos.
Mine took an extra 18 months. 😥
