I used to run a fitness channel on YT and one time a woman asked me about IF and I suggested it might not be a bad idea if she can restrict the time of her eating better than what she eats, but with care about she eats in that restricted time window, and with my usual caveat of ideally consulting with medical professionals as I always displayed in front of every video I posted.
She got back to me a couple of months later and complained that she lost her period and developed amenorrhea following IF. My suspicion is that maybe she didn't eat a very balanced set of macros and micros in the restricted time window but maybe that's a risk for women.

I personally don’t recommend fasting. You naturally fast when you are asleep and your body needs fuel constantly throughout the day. I have done intermittent fasting, and I was at my heaviest in results to it. If you are interested in losing weight, you should see a nutritionist / doctor and they can get you on a plan.
