The desire to look good has never been enough motivation for me to exercise because I know I could look like a mosquito and still have high confidence inside. On the other hand, the belief I'm being productive ad doing something that is meaningful, that second thing can motivate me to exercise, cause it's based on a cause I believe in, and not a cause other people tell me they want me to believe in so I can look good for them.

Definitely. Some days when I’m feeling good, I do a full 2 hour workout. Other days when I’m not feeling as good, I skip some exercises but stick to my basic workouts.
If I have additional muscle soreness, I tend to do more stretching. My energy level seems pretty consistent most days, so I pick certain days to go the extra mile (so to speak.)
after big days, whether it's climbing or cycling, the following day is focused on recovery and rehydration
Yes, some days I am just exhausted and try to do a less intense workout. maybe i spend more time stretching.

Yea of course. If I don’t have energy I adjust accordingly. You don’t want to overexert or injure yourself.

Yeah, all the time now. I didn't before. That led to over training & injury.
Sounds like about right what to do :)
Gotta change it up every so often or you stop progressing.
I mix it up to confuse my body so it increases my level of fitness. It also gets old doing the same workout time after time.
