I told my friend that since losing my job and seeking self employment, I’d lost a lot of stomach fat but appeared to have gained leg fat and she said, “Maybe your legs are fatter now because your not on your feet for most of the day at work anymore.”
Every trainer says you can’t target fat loss on a single part of your body but I disagree because I am right handed and my right arm is skinner than my left arm, since I use my right arm more than how often I use my left arm.

You can and you can't
It's like you can't have a round face but a flat belly
Body compensate fat/ energy from it place that can hold fat quicker than others so body will store fat quicker in that reason later when it will plan to store it
How ever if you are planning to make your legs get in shape thats a completely different thing
Females store fat in legs before the belly area so it's the thing your body is doing automatically..
if your belly looks flat..
It might be your belly that makes your legs look fat
I also don't agree with your friend, if your job is a sitting job you would also gain belly fat not just the legs
+ you will also have some lower back issues before you notice other major changes
