So I recently got rejected and with lots of failed talking stages and everything I've decided to take a step back and fully focus on myself. Which number 1 is working out more. The look I am trying to achieve isn't a crazy bodybuilder type of look, no offense if that's the look you have just too much for me. I'm looking for tone muscle where my biceps are more defined (I think that's the word). I started working out about a week ago and already I feel like I am stronger and I overall feel better about myself.

My boyfriend is a bodybuilder. He would say that basic compound exercises are king. Make sure you have a proper form and range of motion. Go slow for each rep, really try to feel the mind-to-muscle connection. You can also add some isolation exercises here and there.
Also, the key is consistency. Try to stick to a routine that you like and you know you can follow through.
Muscles look more toned or ripped when you have less fat percentage
And I am sure you can never end up with a crazy bodybuilder look if you don't take steroids so don't worry
