Just use it in moderation
cottage cheese + garlic + salt - put on bread and eat in the evening
onion syrup (onion cut in dice and put in layers with sugar into a glass jar, leave it for a few hours in a room and then keep it in the fridge) - take a spoon every few hours
ginger tea (a piece of ginger root cut in the sticks + mint leaves + hot water; when it's not so hot anymore, add honey) - drink when you return home and feel cold
rumbata (tea is herbata in Polish and mixed with rum it gives a new word rumbata) - black tea with a lot of lemon juice and sugar and a shot of rum. It will make you feel hot and sweat a lot, which is great when you feel you have a cold.

my go to is "pickle juice". I use the best quality can find... whole foods has one that is sweet bread and butter pickle. you can make you rown if you get into gardening.
2nd that with tumeric... you can get fresh tumeric root and cut up and put in honey and eat some of that.

and yes, I've had rcenently covid but wasn't as bad as some others had it and I avoided other colds. I think the above helps.
to avoid getting sick, stay away from junk foods like sugar, processed junk foods... cookies and such. most American packaged stuff is garbage, don't eat it.
