i wash my face and moisturize twice a day. i exfoliate once a week. i have a personal microdermabrasion device i use every 6 weeks or so, and a high frequency that i should be using more often than i do. there’s also a red light mask and a microcurrent device. those really actually work but I’m bad at persisting with the habit. what about you?
528 opinions shared on Health & Fitness topic. Just water on my face, no suncream anywhere.
My dad had melanoma. You've never seen a man more covered on the beach. Vest, t-shirt, light top and a tracksuit jacket on top and swimming trunks, shorts and tracksuit pants on the bottom.
He used factor 40 lotion under all that. Highest available at the time.
Has anyone else noticed that the appearance of skin cancer was immediately PRECEDED by the increase in artificial, chemical sunscreen products and has INCREASED as they've got more popular?
I use shaving gel because my beard is too dense to shave with nothing.
Right now I'm busy developing a tallow skin cream for my wife. All natural.02 Reply- +1 y
you’re quite right. i read a research article that raised that question; there has been a spike in skin cancers since sunscreen became popular so is it actually responsible as a potential cause?
i don’t really know, but the alternative is UVA and UVB, so it’s bad either way

what does that do?

I started using it after noticing that it left my skin really soft. But you can see articles that talk about its benefits with skin problems. It is expensive but I make it myself so no issues:

+1 yDay: Water to rinse night skincare. Then just toner and sunscreen and Im out the door.
Night: double cleansing, toner, serum, moisturizer.
On Wednesday night, I usually do some sort of overnight treatment. My most recent go to has been DERMA:E overnight peel.On Sunday, I do a whole skin care session including cold eye patches and a face mask. But that’s simply because I want to be extra. I don’t really see much of a benefit.

Then I'll get the soap off with warm water & sometimes do an ice plunge to close my pores. But most times I just end it with cold water on a cloth. Then I put some cerave moisturizer on my face & call it a day.
I notice that my gut health is highly correlated to my skin health. So as long as I keep good gut health, my skin will look somewhat decent if I'm washing it at least 2 times a day. Sometimes more if I've been sweating or if I ate something I know will produce more oil on my skin. I have naturally oily skin.13 Reply- +1 y
What does cera v help with?
- +1 y
Lol I heard it's good. I think I might buy a little jar.
+1 yIn the morning I clean my skin with warm water. Apply serum, eye cream, moisturizer and SPF.
In the evening if I wore makeup during the day I remove my makeup and then cleanse my skin with a facial cleanser. If I didn't wear makeup I just clean my skin with warm water. Apply night serum, eye cream and night cream. Once a week I like to do a cleansing and hydrating mask.16 Reply- +1 y
@garykingg no one is talking about men here. I'm just answering the question.
- +1 y
@garykingg because I love taking care and pampering myself and looking good is important to me. Your skin is the longest organ in your body it deserves as much care as your hair or nails. I also have atopic skin so it's important for me to give that extra love to my skin.

self care. it’s not about men. the category isn’t about relationships, remember
- +1 y
@DreamCrescent exactly. No one here is talking about men I don't know how he came up with that.
mornings: warm water, kojic soap, rinse. Vitamin c, caffeine eye serum, black snail serum. Vitamin c primer.
night: gentle cleanser, glycolic toner, retinol, eye roller, black snail serum, lip balm, gua sha and hand cream
sundays: exfoliate, retinol face mask, eye patch, nose strip, black snail serum

i feel like retinol is harsh and drying for me.
what’s the eye roller? - +1 y
where do you get one? it’s just like the rose quartz or jade rollers for the face?
I have karma skin dry near the cheeks and not so but little oily on T part of the face. I stopped washing my face in the mornings. I only wash my eyes and brush my teeth. It really helps my dry skin. And during winter after shower I put vaseline (Petroleum Jelly) on my cheeks because they get so dry and it hurts. that's it. beauty products makes my skin itchy and red.

what is karma skin?

i wouldn’t say “obsessed”. same reason people go to the gym. same reason people take vacations. same reason people stretch, exercise, walk, eat healthy. it’s called self-care. there’s nothing negative about it
+1 yI only use hot water when shaving.
Wash with daily facial scrub. Rinse in cold water.
Use daily alcohol free moisturizer.
Splash cold water on my face when I get home.
Before bed, swab my face down with witch hazel.
Sunscreen if I'll be outdoors in the sun.10 Reply522 opinions shared on Health & Fitness topic. Soap and water.
Yet, still have better skin than some women who buy all the crap!
The secret to good skin, is good diet. Buying all that skin care stuff is just papering over your problems.
20 ReplyI wash my face two times with a regular face soap and oil soap! After that toner, after that eye cream, and the moisturizer and if it’s day sunscreen lotion

+1 yShower and exfoliate using a bar of soap covered by a rag, then dry my face out of the shower and lightly apply olive oil to moisturize my face. Look up the benefits of olive oil for the skin. It works beautifully for me.

+1 yOnly thing I do is wash my face when I shower and then moisturize it with Aveeno. Anything else and it's using baby oil when I shave my legs and then after I wash them, I use baby lotion on them.
00 Replynope, no need. water, regular soap, and lotion has never wronged me. i don't get pimples either. the more complex a skin care routine is, the more likely you'll break out. just what i've found. obviously it isn't the same for everybody.

u +1 ydon't really need a routine, just basic care
10 Reply No, I don't do skin care. I apply acne medication to my face before going to bed at night, and when I wash it in the morning, I wake up with skin like a baby's butt. It's inexpensive and I say goodbye to acne and blackheads.
