Getting your wisdom teeth pulled?
Thanks :)
Oh I had some swelling. Luckily the doctor used dissolving stiches. I was off work for a few days but after that it was not too bad. I kept them in specimen jar. I had all four removed under general (they knocked me out) anaesthetic. School? That was different. I had to return to school as usual after brain surgery. I wore a large bandage around my head to sort of resemble a sweat band. It was near the ned of the semester and the best I could do was wait for my hair to grow back. Wearing a hat whenever I could get away with it.
I had all four of mine done at the same time. I was pretty swollen, but no more than I expected. I was off work for about a week after that. The nice part was that, when I did go back to work, I was still on the pain killers. Showing up for work, high on oxycodone, is fun!
I agree with Anonymous Girl in that getting a rubber-tipped syringe to clean out the holes is a very good idea.
I had all four of mine pulled at the same time and it was pretty swollen. It also happened to be the week before I went back to college, but I was didn't show up to class that first week. I just kept an ice pack on it periodically and took painkillers and it wasn't too bad.
Worst part is probably the fact that you look like a cute chipmunk :P
I did that about a month ago. I only swelled in one spot. My mouth ached for about a week. The best thing I learned was to get one of those little rubber syringes that they use to clean out babies noses/ears and squirt water into the holes. Also, ice every two hours or so.
