Any help with acne?

so I am 17 and I have a little, but not serious acne problem. My main problem is post pigmentation (not scarring) after the acne is gone. any solutions to help lessen the redness or anything to help my acne at all?

I also have this problem. I went to the dermatologist when I was 16, Went on some medications they did not work. Then I started using PROACTIVE combined with a birth control pill. It worked wonders for about 3 years. Now I used MURAD face wash it is like proactive but better I think. My face is almost back to normal. While my face is healing I use bare minerals face powder. my bare essentials. It works great and it doesn't clog your pores like a normal foundation. you could fall asleep with it on and you wouln't break out. SO go get some face wash (a 3 step face wash is best) and some mineral powder for your face. GOOD LUCK.

I can't suggest anything to treat the acne, because I still suffer from the same issues but I can tell you a good way to hide redness. Skin will heal itself naturally over time, but a good way to cover it while it does is to use a green tinted powder. I can't think of the exact name of it but you can get it at any makeup section of any store. It's a light green color and should go on before your put on a foundation. The green neutralizes the redness in your skin and does a good job of hiding it during the day :] I hope that helps.

See if you can meet with a dermatologist. There is no easy cure for acne, however, maybe some retin-a for 7 weeks would really help. Even prescribed antibiotics can treat acne. Over the counter stuff usually doesn't do much at all. Just wash your face at night and in the mourning with a facial cleanser and that is the best start.
