Have you ever used an inhaler for asthma?

Shortly after Christmas, I went to the doctor because I was sick. I was short of breath and I had been losing my voice frequently. Unproductive cough. Sore throat. The doctor told me I have asthma (no surprise, I already knew this) and prescribed me an inhaler (albuterol) to get me through the virus I had and I am supposed togo back next week for a follow up to talk about pernament medication.

Well, about 5 minutes after I used the inhaler for the first time, a muscle in my eyelid started to twitch. I looked it up and it is a side effect of that particular inhaler. I haven't used the inhaler in a week or so because it is empty, but my eyelid still twitches periodically.

When is it going to stop?

When I was a kid I was diagnosed with asthma...had the inhaler and everything. Turns out I was just another misdiagnosed child of the 90's, and thank God I wasn't put on medications that would hinder my growth with lasting side effects like so many have.

When is it going to stop? Someone with extensive knowledge in neuroscience could probably tell you. As of now, that can't be determined. Just don't take medications to treat it, as it could compound and create another troublesome side effect.

yeah I had one, wasn't actual asthma I had though. But I had hayfever and my airways would constrict from the allergies make my breath all wheezy, the inhaler fixed it. When I moved out of the country the hayfever stopped.

Eye twitching comes from muscle contraction and stress. Chill out, easy to say not easy to do but make a conscious effort to relax your facial muscles, neck and shoulders during the day also be sure to get enough sleep.

Are you stressed out and/or not getting enough sleep? These could all be helping to aid your prolonged eye twitch. Relax, make sure you get enough potassium and sleep. When you go back to the doctor, ask him. I don't think anyone can tell you how long it'll last, that all depends on your body.

That may not be due to the inhaler- eye twitching can happen any time. Eat a banana, potassium helps with that, especially since you haven't used the inhaler in over a week. I usually get really shaky and jittery with and inhaler, but it only lasts like 15 or 20 min

It is oddly convinent for it to have been the inahler though. Like literally it started right afterward and at first only happened right after I used it. And I googled it, it is a very common side effect of the inhaler.

INHALERS ARE ONLY FOR TEMPORARY RELIEF. . . I SAY TAKE INSULAN BY MACHINE AND IS FAR MORE AFFECTIVE, INHALERS ARE GOOD TOO IF YOUR VERY ACTIVE IN SPORTS, WHICH YOU DON'T SEEM TO BE . . .

And inhalers work perfectly fine. I have gotten better from the virus and was able to get healthy quickly without any more problems from my lungs.

Often I do, at the time it feels like my lungs are falling in tbh... but that won't help it...
