All three of these can happen by consuming too much sugar.
Or they can all be prevented by being smart & keeping healthy at the same time while still consuming sugar.
Depending on your lifestyle, a soda per day may be OK, or that tipping point.
A can of soda of typical corn syrup contains around 42-47grams of sugar. That's a lot. A bottle will contain double that, that's a lot more.
I'm drinking a 355 mL glass bottle's worth at a time.
A little more then a cup- sounds like a soda can size, which likely have around 45g of sugar in it. If you're not eating a bunch of sweets, it's not life threatening. But get all of your nutrition too.

Excess carbohydrates(such as sugar) get converted and stored as fat in your body. One soda a day with an otherwise healthy lifestyle isn't too bad, but excess sugar is bad if you want to avoid fat gain.
ive been to many doctors and studied nutrition and natural or not, sugar is sugar. whether it comes from a fruit, a bagel, a soda, rice, or candy, your body will break all of that down and it only recognizes it as glucose molecules C6H12O6. Your body will process those glucose molecules and figure out what to do with it, some of it will be used as energy and excess of it will be stored as fat like a padded jello layer under your skin.
Natural sugar soda? I've never seen this. Anyways, its perfectly fine as long as your a healthy person and live a healthy lifestyle (workout, good eating habits, etc.). Its good to be healthy but you have to remember that you only live once. If you want to indulge in something small then go for it as long as your lifestyle can out rule it. I'm not against cheat meals that are small as long as you are healthy otherwise.

Its still a source of sugar/carbs your body doesn't need extra of. Its better than corn syrup, but still isn't the most healthy thing in the world.

I think its a bit much...but I almost never drink pop. And when I do I can only really handle half a can because its been so long since I've had it regularly.
Kinda became a coffee addict instead.
Once a day is still quite often. Make it more of a treat by drinking it only once or twice a week. Of course once a day won't kill you, either.
You have to burn if off. One soda a day is not going to give you health issues if you are active.
Soda in general is bad for you. Having one a day is really bad for you. You shouldn't have it at all, but if you want having one every so often isn't terrible.
