Work your legs once every 5-7 days. Do squats, leg extensions, and calf raises. Go to failure. Add BCAA caps to your diet too, and drink plenty of water. You'll gain plenty of strength and size.
So you don't agree with 2-3 times a week?
Oh hell no. That is extremely counter productive if you are trying to put on size. Your muscles need no less than 5 days to completely rebuild from a hard workout. Bodybuilders typically only work a set of muscles once a week to keep the size on.
I've put on nearly 40lbs doing no less than a 5 day rotation, and I can tell you it works.

Low reps with heavier weight for size, higher reps with less weight to get lean.
I usually pile on the weight after stretching and do maybe a set of 3 or 4 just to warm up and get the blood flowing. Then the next set I go to failure. On the last rep with leg extensions, I hold it while it burns as long as I can.

squat, and regular leg exercises, 4-8 reps mass 8-12 power 12-*** lean, squating should be done at max 3 times a week (due to strain on back, not legs).
Alright so I'll just do 4 to 8 reps till I get the size I want. Then do 8-12 to strengthen up and then 12-** to tone them.

np, if you're just starting out though, you may want to do it only once or twice a week, after a while, your body will become accustomed to recovering, and you will be able to do some serious workouts. Squat 2-3 times a week or 5 every two weeks heavy weights should be only two of those days between the 5 in two weeks-dont bunch them together
Become a runner or soccer player. They always have AMAZING legs.
