what do you find most effective? calorie counting, grams of fat.
and what should I do? I already work out one hour a day and eat healthy. I just want to speed up this process.
I'm in the same boat. I have at least 60lbs to lose in order to feel good about my body. I know you want to lose the weight fast and so do I however it has to happen over a period of time. Try looking into weight watchers. It is a great program and the meetings are good to keep you motivated. It is a good support system which is important when trying to lose weight. It can also help people just like you and maybe a new work out partner. Get active even walking will help. Walk every night if you can. Make small changes. Drink water, carry healthy snacks with you so when you get hungry you can have a little something to help before getting to your next meal. Make sure you always have breakfast. Plan your meals. I find when I plan my meals for the day it helps keep on track because then I just eat what was planed and just stick with it.
i wish I could afford weight watchers! it looks really good. thank you for all your other pointers :)
80 ponds is A LOT of weight,so it will take a lot of time, just be patient.
i don't think you should count calories,it will make you crazy, better fat than anorexic. I'm quite skinny but stable and healthy-a vegan, mainly raw or home cooked diet+daily, but moderate exercise. and only liquids allowed:water, fresh juice,tea,non-dairy milks.
also, how long did it take you to gain all that weight? because, you're young, some of it is probably just your body growing, curves and whatnot,so I wouldn't set a goalweight if I were you, just work out and eat right, your weight will take care of itself.
it took one year to gain the weight. and thank you that is some good ideas :) oh and its not hips and such I gained that sh*t when I was young. its because my boyfriend and I ate out everyday and I stopped walking.
Trying to speed it up is counter productive.
The faster you lose it, the more likely you are to just put all the weight back on.
You have to give your body time to adjust, and a slow steady weight loss is the best way to do that.
i know its bad to make it happen fast, but try getting a job, a person to not just judge you all because your fat. it stinks.
It won't have any impact on getting a job. Do you know how many Americans are over weight anyway?
Yes, it stinks. But would you rather lose it fast and temporary, or slow and permanent?
It does impact getting jobs, I had a friend go in to a job interview that I had just done and she tanked the interview but got the job. When she asked why they said she was thin and they can't have bigger girls, it makes them unprofessional.
Bull. Unless the job was modelling or something, that would be illegal, unprofessional, and highly unlikely.
talk to any bigger girl trying to waitress or work in clothing stores. its chill if you don't believe, what ever, but its the world we live in. being fat means its hrder to get a job, they look at you as if your sloppy and un kept and an eye sore for customers.
Yes indeed, you need a program like Weight Watchers that counts the calories, and also gives you a reasonable goal so you aren't starving yurself. Also, they have good tasking low cal desserts and that really helps.
Thank you for the advice :)
Any time! Best Answer, no?

It's not gonna happen overnight. It's really only healthy to lose a couple pounds a week. It's all about being consistent.
From what I have seen the best healthiest way to lose weight is to not go on a diet but change your life style so that you are eating a whole food plant based diet. It's the best thing you can do for your body. Eat lots of fruit, veg, legumes, nuts, seeds, grains, and, drink enough water.
This may be just me but I believe that everyone has a natural weight that their body wants to stay at, and it's different for everyone. If you have a healthy life style then it shouldn't matter what you weigh:)
thank you, you have good points.
Have you tried replacing one meal with a protein shake? Just a thought. I use Spiru-tein vegetarian protein shake. Vegetarian protein works different in the body than whey or animal protein. Just a thought.
hmm ill have to look more into these protein shakes. thanks :)
Read the 4hr Body, get the myfitnesspal.com app, and add in some exercise with a gallon of ice water a day. Cold showers and ice baths will help per 4hr Body.
thank you
You can add me as friend for more help. All diets are very similar. You really don't want to exceed 2lbs per week unless you want your skin tightness to catch up later. You can add friends to myfitnesspal to help motivate. There are also places you can google beachbodworkout mp4 such as insanity that can be helpful.
took me 4 years to gain a 100 pds. past 8 months I've lost about 45 pds of that already. takes time so stick with healthy eating, drink lots of water, and stay away from processed foods and pop. one hr of exercise every day is plenty.
so much to discuss here. message if you want. this is a tough process but can be done.
i tried to message you but it does not allow me too.
