If I write her a letter, is that okay? and what should I say in it? She is in a female Christian rock band that disbanded a month ago. I have no way else of getting in touch with her.

I found a letter on my car at work once from someone I never met- I took my car to a garage and one of the mechanics there found me attractive and came an left me a note saying he would love to take me out for coffee and left his phone number. I was flattered but also seeing someone so never called him.

This girl opens her mail box and there is a personal letter from a guy that she has never met before.

If you don't know her and you don't know any of her friends then leave her alone.
