Why are guys consistent in the beginning, but then fall back?

I was just curious...why do most guys call and text everyday in the first couple months of talking to a girl, but then they begin to fall back?

I've been seeing someone for 2 months and at the beginning he was amazing. He was in contact everyday and we saw each other frequently. Now for some reason, he isn't as in touch as before. Instead of being in contact everyday, it's every other day or every 2 days. However, we still see each other frequently and have a wonderful time in person.

So, what do you think it could be? Why are most guys like this?

There's just less to say after a while. It doesn't mean we hate you, it just means that a lot of the important questions and conversations that come at the beginning of a relationship have already been had. Also, it means that we don't think you require constant attention, which is good, because we have other stuff going on in our lives as well. Most women want to communicate more than most guys. It is just a gender thing. It doesn't make women right any more than it makes men wrong, it is just a matter of preference. As long as when you do communicate it is friendly and you enjoy your together time when you're out dating, that's all that really matters.

Girls get a dopamine reaction to texting. Guys don't.

Girls find texting inherently pleasurable. Guys don't.

At the start of a relationship, many guys will try to make the girl happy, and so try to match her level of texting. 2 months is about as long as a guy can do this, before it simply becomes too exhausting, and he will eventually drop back down to a normal guy level of frequency in his communication.

Girls who are not aware of the reasons for this drop off, usually freak out and think the guy is losing interest in her.

He feels safe in his relationship with you. Don't answer the phone once in a while and don't text him back immediately and he'll be on to you.

!) You're not all that interesting. All the lines of questioning and conversation didn't lead to anything that really drew them in. If you're good looking and having sex with them at that point then the guys that just put in the work to get you into bed have accomplished their mission. They guys that wanted more then to tap that ass got bored and bounced.
