do you think this plan is effective to lose 40 lbs?
thank you all for your support and answers I really appreciate it
(continuing my comment on earlier post) and protein as much as possible, also never have white bread, ever ever ever, whole grains, dave's killer bread is best if you have it in your area, eat lots of fiber, take a multivitamin and replace one meal a day with a lean protein shake, there low calorie and make you less hungry, but do NOT live solely on them. If money's not a problem then EAS light is a great tasting shake, muscle milk light is also very good tasting and mid price range and about 6 grams of fat, 25 grams of protein and 200 calories per shake (buy powder whatever you do it's much cheaper). Cheaper alternatives can be found at big wholesale stores, I found one at winco where I live for about a third the cost of mainstream ones. Also eat lots of veggies. A good low cal snack is orville redinbauchers (spellings way off on that) smart pop popcorn, it's like 200 calories a bag and fills you up pretty well. If you ever need more advise feel free to message me directly.
thank you so much, but protein shakes I don't know being a woman I don't wanna bulk up I'm scared of having that much protein aside from my normal chicken/fish serving
Anytime, and don't worry about bulking up, having protein won't give you muscles, lifting weights a lot will, at most you will get more toned leg muscles and a bigger butt (guys love both so no worries there), protein will just make you less hungry. I have yet to meet someone who bulked up from drinking protein shakes alone.
i used to do the elliptical machine a lot and my legs went from slim and feminine to man calves! I hate them so I'm terrified of weights now and protein
You really want to stay away from Orville Redenbacher. You want to stick to Organic Popcorn or Organic anything really. Orville Redenbacher is made by ConAgra food who is owned by Monsanto. Monsanto genetically modifies food. So fake food. It has no natural stuff, have the vitamins. Monsanto also creates Roundup and Agent Orange. Genetically modifies foods are causing all these health problems we see today. Organics are the way nature attended.
cheese has fat
what kind of cheese is good to eat? how about peanut butter?
Part skim mozzarella, feta, goat cheese, or if you use less of it then aged chedder, parmesian, or romano which all have lots of flavor so you need less. I wouldn't suggest peanut butter, it's really really bad, if you can't live without it though buy organic and use as little as possible.
Walking at a brisk pace and swinging your arms is a very good work-out, and further doing calisthenics will help even more. You absolutely do NOT need a gym.
Adding some protein at lunch is a good idea, and perhaps some additional fruits or veggies for complete nutrition/vitamins, but overall, your diet plan is good too.
Resistance work will build muscle, and muscle will burn more calories, so as you build muscle, you will lose fat faster and/or will need to eat more calories. Trading muscle for fat can give you "negative" results at the scale (you can weigh MORE), but it will give you positive results with the measuring tape, because you'll lose fat inches in your arms, legs, hips, and waist, and your clothes will fit looser. Remember that health and fitness are the goal, not an arbitrary number on a scale. Scales are valuable when you are trying to lose FAT, but as you get leaner, they mean less.
There was a woman who ate all her meals backwards so like have a dinner like meal for breakfast just a normal lunch and then yogurt with granola or something for dinner. She lost a lot of weight because you burn what you eat for breakfast through out the day.
i heard that too! thanks gonna try it but I live with parents and its annoying when they make dinner.
well good luck!
You are motivated! Good luck!I think it's effective to lose you goal weight!

I've dropped 35 pounds in 10 weeks, from that I will tell you to take your time to lose the weight, doing what I did was the worst decision ever and extremely unhealthy. That being said the best thing to just lose weight is count your calories, keep it at or below 2000 a day, slow jog as long as you can handle every day, and that's all you need to do, I jogged 4 hours a day, and ate 1500 calories a day and you drop it fast.
damn 4 hours? you are crazy! I can't do that my work schedule wouldn't even allow me lol. but 40 min-1 hr can work. calories I don't know I tried it once and it didn't work for me, like id eat 1400-1500 but id eat white bread for sandwich or like white rice for dinner and I still didn't lose weight so I feel like carbs doesn't work for my body. smetimes id eat chocolate and be like I'm still under 1200 calories for my day but still it had no nutrient value. calorie counting can be tricky.
I built up to 4 hours not just strait away but yes, I switched from rugby to long distance track so I needed to lose weight and get used to running, and an hour a day is fine, I'd suggest jogging the first half hour at a local track (it's easier to judge distance and better on knees and ankles), then the last half hour sprint or run the strait aways and really slow jog the corners, and the reason why it didn't work is your body wants to burn carbs first because they're easy to burn, eat fat and
Yes, you can lose weight without going to the gym. I think your plan sounds pretty good. After awhile you will probably plateau and then you'll want to try to mix up your workouts. I don't know how effective your plan will be because I've never tried losing 40 lbs before. Good luck!
thanx
@update: Cottage Cheese or Almonds...tuna too, but that stuff smells.
Weight loss is mainly nutrition.
If you're going to buy anything get a kettlebell. A heavy one. Dieters who do resistance work do significantly better then those doing mainly cardio.
I actually think you need more protein -add a significant portion of it at lunch.
Push-ups + kettle swings would be a good combination
As you improve you need to change what you are doing. you want to target a certain Intensity and will need to shift what variants you do over time to maintain it.
I lost weight (45 lbs) by just walking 60-75 min/day, and sticking to 1500 calories/day. Ate the right foods--veggies, fruit and lean protein. Didn't need the gym.
omg I love u. you are my inspiration I'm gonna walk tomorrow lol
