Oh and I really can spell *unattractive* haha.
Is bad skin really unnatractive?

You know what may help with that? This is going to sound weird, but try a yogurt mask with crushed blueberries in it. The yogurt has to be plain. Leave it on for about 15 minutes and then wash it off with warm water. Do this every night. It will help with acne, and it will reduce the appearance of pores, if they are large. It also helps with blackheads and whiteheads, and it exfoliates the skin. I've been trying it out myself, and I love it so far. Plus, this is a natural remedy, so your skin most likely won't react badly to it. I googled it, and lots of people who have tried it had positive results. It's cheap, too. Also, try a concealer with salicylic acid and a mineral foundation. Make sure you wear nothing that clogs the pores. Do you use any cleanser, toner, moisturizer, etc.?
Oh, yes, do not cake on the makeup! It not only makes acne worse, but can cause wrinkles when you get older, because the weight of it pulls down on the skin.
Oh, I see. Have you gone to a doctor to see if there is anything you can do about it? From what I can tell, you have a really pretty face.
Thanks, I like my face a lot in general, but I think my skin really ruins it. My doctor is in the process of treating me, but he said it could take months for me to see a difference. My mom promised to let me get laser treatment to fix the scars and hyperpigmentation when I clear up, so I'm looking forward to that.
I know what you mean. I still struggle with hormonal acne every month. :P Out of curiosity, what kind of treatment is your doctor prescribing to you?
Right now I'm on an anti-thyroid medication because I have hyperthyroid. I believe soon I'm going to be treated with radioactive iodine to destroy part of my thyroid. After that though, I'll become hypothyroid and have to be on medication for that instead. I just got diagnosed, so I'm hoping the medication will start helping soon. I'm impatient haha :)
You should switch to a mineral makeup for sure. It won't look cakey like the liquid makeups and it gives you great coverage. Try everyday minerals that's what I use I love it. and I use cetaphil face wash its the only thing that works for me. I ran out of it and didn't buy some for like a week I instantly started breaking out! it was crazy so I suggest both or those things and good luck :)
btw everyday minerals has like free sample things for like 3 dollars, you just pay the shipping. I just buy those for refills. its cheaper then buying liquid makeup in the store and doesn't make me breakout
I think you look lovely. If you're worried about it, you should get something to clear up the acne, not cover it with makeup. I am opposed to makeup in general, it's just not good to be coating your skin with crap, both for health and appearance.
Only if your doing nothing about it. Visible attraction is key in first glances, and the first thing many see is the face. So while you might have a well toned body, you can still be overlooked if you have bad acne problems.

Try getting on the pill to regulate your hormones and improve your skin. You should also consider a prescription acne medication. You can get away with wearing a light tinted coverup or skin primer to even out your skin tone (try this in beige: link This Smashbox product is lightweight and oil free, so it will help even out the redness without making it worse. Definitely do not layer on heavy foundations or concealers. It will cover your acne in the short term, but will make your skin far worse in the long run.
you can resolve cakey make up by using more natural make up or mineral make up. I mean, I know its slightly expensive but it's worth it. make sure you change your diet so that you combat the acne both internally and externally with cleanser, toner, moisturizer and spot blemish treatment.
in terms of make up, if you use a little concealer, it helps. and make sure the brushes you use help make your make up look a little more natural. Mac is good for eye liner and eye shadows I find, but as for powder and foundation, I will use bare minerals. And drink lots of water . hope that helps ^_^
yes. and the wearing too much makeup is only going to make the acne worse.
same problems over here! I wear COVERFx..its made by dermatologists and I swear by it. I also put a coat of benzoyl peroxide on before putting any makeup on.
