So here I am, asking you guys,
what is the most unusual combinations you've ever tried? Was it good?
Variety is the spice of life. I like to eat different food every day. I'd suggest trying out recipes from around the world. The ingredients and combinations are so different, yet taste great because it has had to satisfy the local people for hundreds or thousands of years.
I like spicy, so Korean, Indian and Jamaican come to mind. Chinese basically have different styles for each provinces.
Not really unusual, but Korean: tiny anchovies in sweet sauce, pigs feet with kimchi wrapped in cabbage (Jokbal), pickled crab.
Unusual: cherry pierogi, beer with chili powder, sausages (real ones, not hot dog) with apple sauce. All much better than I first thought
Then there's my national meal: Fries with gravy and curd cheese. Not weird for me, but just saying.
If you try this, do it with caution - you may not enjoy :-)
When I visit my collegues in the Netherlands, I see them eat things like fatty sausages, followed by a glass of butter milk.
They like it and find it healthy.
If you like beer (think you mentioned that before) try one of our 300+ Belgian beers with your meal (can't advise you, I don't drink alcohol).
What I find very refreshing with both hot meals and sandwiches is pressed pineapple juice. Brand name here in Belgium is Materne. Like it!
Try sliced papaya and avocado with enough evaporated milk to cover it all, enough sugar for sweetness, and enough ice to almost cover the top of it all. Mix it all together and its one hell of an icy cold dessert you're going to love! Haha. I don't know its a filipino thing. You should look up different ethnic food recipes. Its worth a try :p
I've fade chickpea chocolate chip cookies quite often. The only ingredients in them are chickpeas, homemade natural peanut butter, raw honey, vanilla extract, baking soda, and dark chocolate chunks. I think they're fantastic but probably not everyone's cup of tea.

I'm all about unusual food combinations. Nothing specific really comes to mind immediately as most time it's spontaneous and I may or may not repeat it but I love both spice and sweet together (though I've quit on sugar lately). If I'm eating something spicy I'll add something sweet to it :D
Try milk stout and dark chocolate it is wonderful. Do not try Cabernet Sauvignon and hot sauce. Also I think porters go great with breakfast foods as they taste like coffee. Also try Riesling with Asian food. And Chardonnay with popcorn
ham and jelly sandwiches, my roommate made them, they were obviously terrible
Bananas in any pasta dish tastes amazing. I like drinking milk with crushed ice.
Lol Its a must try !
You're welcome. It tastes better with a very ripe banana :)
French fries and soft ice :)
