I feel like bugs are crawling across my skin.. Help?

Every few nights I will be lying in bed and feel like bugs are crawling across my skin. If I scratch or ignore it, the sensation moves else where on my body. It's everywhere. Legs, arms, neck, even my face. I'm positive it's not bed bugs. I keep my skin moisturized and there are no visible signs of bugs or rashes. Google has given me no good answer. I'm going to mention it to my father (a doctor) tomorrow, but I'm wondering if you guys have had any similar experiences?

To answer your question though, I'm sure it's just paranoia on your part. I have it sometimes when I'm trying to sleep as well, and even right now I have it due to the thought of bed bugs which you mentioned in your post. I've had an experience with bed bugs however, and unless you've thoroughly inspected your mattress inside and out, including your box springs, walls, floor boards, bed frame, etc., I wouldn't be so convinced you don't have them.

They are sneaky little bastards. It was only after a few months of unexplained red dots on my skin as well as waking up to scratch myself did I realize I had them, and by then there was a full on infestation going on. It was horrific.

All I'm saying is that it's a likely possibility that you shouldn't overlook. I don't want anyone to have to go through what I went through in that situation... not fun at all.

If there is no physical source, no rashes, bumps, or bites, then It could be a psychiatric symptom called parasitosis. Talk to a doctor, but you might want to see someone other than your father so there is no conflict of interest.

Okay, you have to kinda open minded here or I advise you not to continue reading. If you believe in the theory of reincarnation, maybe in your past life, you were terrified of bugs crawling all over you. However, if you want to be more recent, it could be that in your childhood, bugs had crawled over you once.

Could be scabies, urticaria, sensitivities to washing powders/liquids, foods. You need to get it properly diagnosed before you could get rid of the cause.

Maybe its morgellons. Since I was a kid I keep having feeling like bugs under my skin or like an itch I can't scratch sll over my body at once. It mostly happens when im in direct sunlight.. it only happens to me now about once a year

Theyre called mites dont b scared all they do is eat the dead akin on ur body dont harm u just ignore it
