It is 55 degrees here. I went for a nice walk. It was so quiet and peaceful. If it was cold and snowy I would have just stayed home.
White Christmases look magical. They conjure a feeling of nostalgia.
We used to visit a place called Santa's Village in Sky Forest in the San Bernardino mountains during Christmas time every year.

I've spent a couple of white Christmases in Cincinnati where my wife's family lives. I've spent Christmases in the mountains with snow falling, icicles hanging from eves, trees covered with snow. I've built snow men, sledded and slid down hills on other things. We spent one Christmas a few years ago with friends in a deluxe cabin on Lake Tahoe when it snowed fairly heavily. I love the brisk, fresh air. It's always very novel for me because I grew up in SoCal near the beach.
My wife and I now live 20 minutes down the mountain from a historic town where it snows occasionally, and sometimes very heavily.
The town gets decorated during the holidays and there are street fairs with carolers and people dressed in Victorian attire. A man roasts chestnuts over an open fire. There is delicious food. Many of the shops have free hot coco and warm apple cider. The smells are wonderful.
But we are below the snow line. The snow is fun to visit, but I'm glad I don't have to deal with it at our house. Slipping and sliding and shoveling snow would be a drag, not to mention downed trees and power lines, road closures, and snow berms along the sides of roads.

I think so, coming as I do from the Southern Hemisphere were it is summer at Christmas.
The fun part is the feasting. The summer solstice (~22nd) is important to me as the farming district i am from had a harvest festival around that time.
So solstice & Christmas is a double banger to me & tied to fruits, melons, sweet peas etc plus lambs, calves, puppies and kittens.
BUT I was in North America one year and I do have to say the ice and snow looks magical. Not something I am going to forget.
No, if anything, those that are lucky enough to see snow at or around Christmas should consider yourself blessed. I know snow sucks for some of you, especially if you see it all the time, but for those of us in the South, or regions that hardly, if ever see snow, we don't have that luxury.
You what to know what the temperature was for my Christmas? 70. It was warm and wet outside because it rained Christmas eve. Trust me, I would have preferred the snow, lol.
I hate snow and ice.(of course it looks nice) As I child I wanted it to be a white Christmas because it was glamorized and kept me out of school longer. But I quickly stopped wanting it to snow. The house was always cold and I didn’t like having to keep dripping the faucets. Only one time did our pipes freeze up and break. (And that was enough)
Plus icy roads are dangerous and the stores stay closed when you actually need something.

To most Floridians, the idea of snow at Christmas sounds like a dream come true. Visiting places to the north, I have spent a few weeks periodically when there was several feet of snow on the ground, and it was beautiful. I have also been caught on the Mass Turnpike in a blizzard, and I have experienced the extra 15 minutes of getting dressed just to bundle up because of the snow. I'll continue being happy just to periodically visit places that have snow on the ground.
I love snow and walking in it. The air is fresh and clean. Sometimes i make wine sno cones. The leaves 🍁 on trails also good when its warm but can become mush. I can do without the ice and hazards.

I would prefer a snowy one... and playing around with the kids and the dogs in the family, and the cats as well
No, it's not overrated. A White Christmas is special, when it happens, and it doesn't always happen. I grew up in the cold Northeast US, and we had a White Christmas maybe half the time.
Nope, there was snowy Christmas in Georgia. My family called and showed me, looked wonderful.
For Years Now, Practically No Snow. lolxxoo
People love playing in it but driving to work, or just working in it, can be miserable. So white Christmas?

I've never had a White Christmas and I probably never will. So it would be nice to have one.
I live in Oklahoma we rarely see snow, so yeah🎄I like the moderate weather. Snow is better for skiing but you can always do that in the mountains.
Yeah. There is no snow anymore. Unless you live in Canada
No, not in my opinion.
Our local meterologist told us yesterday that we've only had four white christmases since the 21st Century where I live, so we cherish those christmases.
Maybe it is in New England. But not here in the Mid-Atlantic. We LOVE the snow! :)

The film is...
I don't care if it never snows but my wife would like a white Christmas one year
Not my favorite thing. I prefer the snow to stay in the mountains where I can ski on it, and to stay out of the lowlands where I walk and drive.
No white Christmas in Toronto either. It’s 10•c which means January-March, stupid amounts of snow.
It's currently raining here in Toronto, and will continue to do so for the next few days. Right when winter officially begins, there's no snowing nor temperatures drastically drop below 0°C.
Winter in Kansas in my profile background. We got lucky.
Yes, I grew up with white Christmases, here in Florida I went for a Christmas hike and even worked up a sweat. Much better
