Trending & News Are you telling me their is actual folk who think their name is that important it will be remembered or cared about?
Because no I don't care nor care even more and would be perplexed more at her caring, which becomes sort of a paradox because now I care that she cares as it's so odd and dumb. But yes that means I am fine with her doing that because I don't care. Though if we don't want kids either it beckons even more to question to why?
Though if one thought for a moment realization would have that it even if you did have generations after names get lost anyway and no one cares about their great great family.
Ironically it annoys me to even think about this, annoying overthinking brain
My wife kept her name. I have no problem with a woman doing whatever she wants, though a hyphenated name makes it hard on the kids in school and later in life.
Only if both people were the last in their family to carry their respective last names.
I don't like my father so I would be glad to get rid of his name.

Not a fan honestly. I like simplicity
I have 3 daughters and a proud family name that is facing extinction. I have 18 Bitcoin. My entire Bitcoin fortune is held in a living trust to my living descendants with my last name. If my daughters families want anything they have to take my name or it goes to whoever is left with my name.
As long as the kids don't get it hyphenated i'm fine with whatever she decides.
I wanna spare my kids the absolute tedious of having to write super long names as my last name is already decently long on its own.
I would feel like a usual Monday. Because I've see hyphenated names as a kid already. More recently, it's legal for a man to take the name of his wife, and I think it's a good idea to have this option.
Noooo! 🤮 So damn clunky. Sorry. That’s actually a pet peeve of mine. When I get married, my maiden name will disappear.
We don’t do that where I’m from
And yet I’d be open to it
Because the woman I marry will be a woman I truly love, name and all
If he refuses to take my last name, that’s going to be the only other option because I’m not changing my initials that much
My mom didn't even change her last name. She got her medical degrees with her maiden name. Sure, you can get the degree name changed if you want to, but she didn't want to. Her eldest sister did the same.
My wife took my name, as women should when they get married.
Nope. Wife has my last name fully. Hyphenated names are wrong
my full legal name is as long as those as Mexican novelas... would make no difference to me
Nah, they would be a very long name if we were to do that.
Not changing my name even after marriage. So no.
Feel free to hyphen away! Heck, I even know some guys with hyphenated surnames.
I'd take my husband's last name most likely.
No because if my last name changed I would want to represent my spouse.
I'm taking my boyfriend's dad and mum's name. They r divorced and he wants both of their names ❤️
Lmao
If I get married and she wants her name to be her maiden name and my last name, there doesn't need to be a stupid hyphen in the middle.
I would just add his last name and have two last names, without the hyphen.
Hell no, it sounds like something a feminist would do.
I don’t like it. Them again I am old fashioned.
I'm happy to hyphenate my name
Sure, I would take my wife's last name.
I'd consider it absurdly pretentious.
I’d be okay with it
I wouldn't.
Yes I would
@avony12 yes
I would
