I have a guy that I consider to be one of my friends, not really sure what he considers us. Anyway, we talk all the time via text, he picks on me at work and via text, but sometimes he will ignore me when certain management is around.
Anyway, we talked the other night via text for over 2 hours (we have been doing this - on and off- for about 9 months or so). We joked about music and he tried guessing what my first cassette and records were etc. Side note: I am trying to teach myself guitar and he plays - so we have been discussing music a lot lately. I also noticed he redecorated his workspace with music two days after I bought my guitar.
Well, he kept bringing up these different "love-type" songs when we were discussing music. Ones that (seemed to me) reflect how I feel about him, and what is going on between us. Now, I have developed feelings for him, so of course I wanted to think he meant them towards me, but I ignored the fact they were love songs and just discussed music in general in case that was all he was doing. He abruptly stopped texting me, and I figured it was just getting late and he must have gone to bed. The next morning, when I saw him at work, I tried to talk to him, but could tell he was not himself. He seemed upset. I asked him if anything was wrong, and he just said "no". So, I attributed it to him being busy. He does have a lot going on. However, it just seems like more than that. He ignored me the rest of the day yesterday, ignored my text last night, and he saw me this morning, but looked away from me before I could say "hi". Have I offended him? Do grown men bring up love songs with women just to discuss or was he hinting to me, I blew it, and now he feels hurt? I do like him, and would love to have a relationship, but maybe he isn't even interested?

I got a couple of "hey"s, and a tease (to which I told him to "shut up" playfully, but felt bad about later). I apologized for the shut up comment, and he just laughed at me and walked away. Maybe he really is mad?

Okay, now he is back to teasing me and acting normal again. I am wondering if this is just a game?
