I'm quite talkative so I have no problem talking about random things or topics if I need to to keep the conversation going. :) you just have to talk about stuff that maybe the other person is interested in.
Yes, I tend to make awkward pauses on the phone. There's really not much for me to say unless I'm making plans, and even then all I have to add is how excited I am. But I'd rather talk on the phone than text all the time.
I was sixteen on the phone when I got the hang of this. Trust me, it just takes time and getting comfortable with a person. Eventually you can hold a conversation on a whim. Just give it time.
lol yeah I have that same problem, the only way I can talk to people on the phone for hours is if I really know them. like I couldn't do that with someone I don't really talk to much, I prefer texting wayyy better.
im like that until I'm superrrr conmfortable. Like the first time I talked to my boyfriend on the phone I was all nervous giggles and he seriously had to ask if I was okay.lol
Lol I'm the exact same way. I hate talking on the phone and never have anything to say. Then the pressure of coming up with something makes me even more nervous and closed up. Lots of fun lol
When its just a casual chat, with guys or girls, yes it can often be quite awkward and I often find my self at a loss of words. I am only good at conversing with people when there is an actual issue/topic worth discussing. Small talk sucks. :)

Argh , I'm like that with specific people.
The only time I could keep up a conversation on the phone for hours is when I'm talking to my best friends .. we just talk about random stuff that's unusual. :P
yeah if I don't know the person then it can get extremely awkward
but if I'm talking to someone I know then I could talk for hours!

Yes! I think it isn't that bad if you have something to talk about. Usually I talk to people when I have a really long text because its easier than typing all of it when you can just call.

yeah I'm the exact same way, my friends are always like "why don't you ever talk", and I'm like "well I'm not the one that called you so I have nothing to say" lol

yeah I've never understood people who talk for hours on the phone. I find it like talking to a machine that demands your input immediatly.
Also I try and avoid internet chat if I can, it's probably ruined my convo skills lol.

That depends, before or after you sleep with a woman? Before I would only talk on the phone to arrange a meeting in person.

You're not alone. I know a ton of people who are just flat out horrible at it. If it really bugs and you think it really matters work on it.
Well I do know what to say its just that I mumble when I talk to women.
I'm bad with speech in general. But I'd rather talk on the phone than text.
Yeah, I'm exactly the same. that's why I almost never make calls. That sucks, I gotta fix that!
