So my car is a fucking piece of shit. I took it in for a full body diagnostic and they couldn't even finish it because it the repair costs exceeded $5000 off of the first few tests 😑. Not only does the car need a new transmission ($4000) it also needs a new cooler ($1000) and god knows what as the mechanic showed me a picture of the dipstick and the oil was clumpy and full of metal bits.Fucking piece of shitNow the seller is telling me he won't do anything because quote, "I drove it off the lot just fine". And the fucking sad part is that the paperwork says, "as is". I'm tired of this shit! I don't have anything and now I'm screwed out of $3600 that I thought would help me.
Is there anything I can do? Is there anyway I can get my money back or at least some of it?

When you buy a car "as-is", it means literally that: as-is. The minute you sign that contract, it's now your problem.
The proper way to buy a used car with no warranty is to pay to have the inspection done BEFORE you buy the car. It might cost you $200 or so for an inspection, but that would have kept you from throwing away $3400 more dollars.
I'm not sure what kind of car (make, model, year, mileage, condition) you bought, but for $3600, and from a dealer, you shouldn't expect much. You'd likely have gotten more for your money from a private seller than from a dealer, but even then, $3600 isn't a lot to spend and if you thought you were getting a great deal, then you should have been very suspicious.
You won't be getting your money back. You signed a contract, and stated right in the contract in clear English it says "there is no 'cooling off period' - once you sign this contract, the deal is done."
Consider this a $3600 education on buying cars, and next time ask for some advice (heck, go watch some YouTube videos on the subject - you'll learn a ton) and pay to have the vehicle inspected BEFORE you buy, and keep in mind that "as-is" means there are no second chances to get it right.
In some countries/states it's not legally valid to write "as-is" for certain transactions, including cars. Some places have laws called "lemon laws" which pretty much always apply when buying a car from a dealer where they'll either have to repair or refund. And it's definitely not the case that "you drove it off the lot so it's clearly a good car." That's some brazen-ass bullshit right there. You take that guy to court and you will legally become the owner of his balls.
(A private party sale, in some places, does not qualify for lemon law)

Well I live in Jacksonville Florida so I have no idea. I understand that I messed up but what people are missing is the fact that I'm poor and really couldn't afford the inspection. I sat on my sofa and cried for a good 30min this evening because I'm literally back at square one.
Unfortunately Florida's Lemon Law does not apply to used cars and I don't think there is a ban on the "as-is" sale like there is in my area, so you may have to talk to a lawyer and build a case that the dealer already knew about these issues and misrepresented what he sold you. Also did the dealer make any statements about the condition of the car and do you have them in writing if so? "Runs great" or "problem free" or "will last you many [miles/years]" or ANYTHING to that effect?
"If the repair is worth more than the value of the car, it's not worth it." -My dad. He has been in a similar situation. Got rid of his 1999 Honda accord a few years ago after the transmission thing. Sold it for parts

That being said, try a different mechanic. That guy probably just doesn’t want to deal with it so he gave the price for a full new repair job. Normally I do my own repairs on my shitboxes, but one case I had a trans go on a tuck and didn’t have time to deal with it. My mechanic had one of his apprentices go pull one out of a junkyard and swap it in. Of course the “new” junkyard parts could be shot too, but it’s worth a try. Paid something like $700 to get the trans done compared to 3500+ for new parts and it lasted until I sold it anyway.
A. You can "parts it out" to recoup some money, piece by piece. B. You can sell the car "as is" as a whole car to someone else and make back some money. C. You could try to sue by the rule of "implied merchantability" , but I don't think you could get very far do to the "as is" clause.
You can try telling them you're going to make negative video and written reviews of them online to warn other buyers. Try to think of ways you can legally hurt their business and they may want to please you.
Unfortunately, if the paper work says 'as is', there is nothing you can do, as long as when it runs, it can serve the purpose of a car. A very difficult thing to have happen.
Aren't you covered under the lemon law... Depends on how long you've had that car you can pursue action to have your money back and they take that car back...
Well there is a 30 day lemon law but you bought it as is but if it was from a car dealership then I think they still need to adhere to the lemon law still, call the Better Business Bureau and see what they say

If you do get stuck with it then selling it for parts is the only option or replace the bad ones with salvage parts if you can put some money into it so you can use it awhile or sell it
I really don't appreciate your fucking attitude. I sat on my couch and cried for like 30min. How do you think I feel? I worked my ass off for that car hoping it would help me get ahead and it's only set me back. I don't have any money to even start looking again
