I can and have done almost anything - for my own house, and for my parents and even grandparents.
My grandparents have all passed and my paternal grandparents' house was sold a decade ago, but my name is still in the concrete driveway, walkway, and storage shed foundation that we poured in 1985.
At my house, I've done plenty of electrical (re-wiring for ceiling fans and to install LED strip lighting for under-counters in the kitchen, and also small LED in-ceiling lights to replace the awful florescent fixture the house came with), drywall, paint (inside and out), plumbing repairs & upgrades, and extensive tech upgrades (wired networking & WiFi, security cameras, security system, smart switches, sensors, & locks, etc.).
I've done much of the same at my parents, plus installed an exhaust fan in their attic, installed flooring, and a bathroom remodel. Oh, I also helped on a big project to install a French drain and a retaining wall in the backyard, and to rebuild the crappy fence the house came with.
I'm not to the level of general contractor - some of these jobs I wouldn't do completely on my own without at least consulting an expert (like the concrete work) - but most things that a typical house is likely to need, I've already done or could quickly learn to do.

A lot. Everything from tuning up a work van to a complete tear down and rebuild of a bathroom, including new plumbing and electric wiring. I went to Job Corps after high school due to collage not being much of a option. Before going through the Cisco networking program I sent a large amount of time in the building maintenance trade. So I learned and did a lot of building and vehicle maintenance work on the Job Corps center I was at.

I can do a lot of stuff around the house, if I feel like it.
however I also have friends that are βin the tradeβ.
it might take me a day doing stuff, whereas they will do it in 30 mins and have all the tools and all the ideas, can test it and do it better than me.
emergency stuff will sort out or various bits, however prefer getting in people who actually do that shit for a living.- u
fix? I can only fix basic stuff... I am better at installing, replacing things, electricity, plumbing, some electronics... some maintenance, do some work around
but when it comes to actually diagnosing and fixing more involved things, I just call a dude that is a pro and has the better tools I've owned houses for 30 years, and have fixed just about everything that can be fixed: electricity, plumbing, appliances, doors, drywall, loose molding, kids toys, squeaky floors, patio stones, galvanized fences... you name it, I've probably fixed it.
I want to school to be an electrician so I can do that but I also do plumbing and I can do carpentry if you don't have to look at it too close. I do the maintenance of our vehicles, fix lawnmowers and other power equipment and I am currently swapping out a sump pump.
My wife and I are renovating our whole house, mostly DIY. We've hired out some of the bigger or more complicated stuff, but we've done plumbing, electrical, drywall, flooring, demolition, trim and millwork, framing, and mechanical/ductwork.
I can pretty much fix everything except for Roof tiles, Gas boiler and adding new Electricity Sockets.
I can fix most things. Even so, hate making household repairs- particularly plumbing, and generally hire someone to do the job.
I have a dad 4 thatβ¦ Iβm learning to explain what the problem is so he can fix it. 🎀
My honey can fix anything! He is the best! Me? Nothing. 🤪
