"But it will need to be in a group. If you want to invite some of your friends and me some of mine" Way safer and real. People can't put on a facade in front of friends. Plus you might find someone you are interested in.
I like settings like this. Trouble in my case is I don't have friends here. And why I could use some more friends.

Firstly I will appreciate her effort and courage and then decline it politely and very nicely by giving her a brief reason.
i would go out with them and see if they grow on me. if not i would convince them that they were wrong about me.
I'd say something along the lines of: "I am flattered that you find me attractive, but I am not attracted to you in that way."
just tell them you're not interested.
truth about this is far better (and appreciated) than beating around the bush.
