Did you have a fear as a kid that you eventually overcame?

I guess for me it used to be snakes, I've had 4-5 run-ins with cobras where I lived as a kid and because they hooded up so quickly I could at least see them, luckily I was never bitten so I could back off..

however I used to have various bad nightmares about snakes almost nightly which made me almost not want to ever leave the house, it took awhile but eventually I was outside playing again but my eyes were always open and still are..

now its just spiders.. lol

Tornadoes because that one movie TWISTER messed me up. Specially how it starts. And when I moved to FL and heard tornado warnings over and over it was just too frightening and horrifying for me.

Can seriously tell you that it was my BIGGEST FEAR

But now as an adult, I’ve learned that there isn’t tornadoes like in TEXAS or any of those states. We get poor excuses as tornadoes, they mainly come in storms and don’t look like how they do in TEXAS and aren’t fully formed either. They’re also not as damaging and not as dangerous. They’re basically just a dumb storm.

BUT YES THAT WAS MY BIGGEST MOST ABSOLUTE FEAR, AND ID ALWAYS HAVE NIGHTMARES ABOUT IT. ID ALWAYS THINK THAT A TORNADO WOULD TAKE ME

As a kid, I was afraid people would not like me or guys would be attracted to me but now I do not have those fears. I used to view men liking me as a curse and not a blessing.

Social anxiety was a big one for me growing up. Now I dare myself to approach people, so it's gotten way easier. Though if I'm isolated for too long, the anxiety can resurface. Guess in my case it's like a muscle that needs to be regularly exercised.

Bathing with my eyes closed. I always fear that something evil will get me while I'm washing soap off my eyes. So I hurry to get the soap out.

I finally overcame my shyness it was so bad that win I won race they would interview my uncle because I would not talk on camera but now I am sure people would wish I was shy again Lol
