Do you like to sit outside or like on your balcony? Would you say you're close to nature?

I love it and my mom and I will always hangout on the balcony, cause we always used to wish for a balcony.

And for me it was a must to move into an apartment with a balcony and after work, when I get home, I love to sit there for a little while.. just get home and off work. (I will include a pic, it's so beautiful right now)

Sadly I only had one friend who also loved it as much as me but we aren't friends anymore...

20 years ago, my wife and I moved into our new home on 30 acres of oak grassland. It's the first home either of us have ever owned. My goal was to have the outdoors be part of my home.

We have a comfy three bedroom (we made one into an office), two bath, 1600 sq ft house with large windows in front and 8' wide French doors in back. We have covered back porches and gardens in the front and back. We grow herbs, veggies and fruit. Beyond our footprint is beautiful, untouched nature in all directions. Even though we have nearby neighbors, we can't see them. From our spot on the side of a hill, the views and sunsets are spectacular.

Deer come into our yard. There are lots of quail and many other birds. Wild turkeys come around during parts of the year. There are other wild animals too - fox, jackrabbit, bobcat, skunk, possum, squirrel, lizards, snakes, frogs. I love them all. I also love watching bees, butterflies and other pollinators on our trees and bushes.

I grew up in a house in the suburbs and later lived in a series of apartments, but I always treasured nature. I spent a lot of time at botanical gardens, the ocean, deserts and mountains. I went on quite a few amazing backpacking trips.

I once lived in a 3rd floor condo with a balcony. Outside it was a grass courtyard with a large jacaranda tree. The crown was just below my balcony and to one side. When it was in bloom, I felt like I was in a purple cloud garden in the sky.

living in the middle of a concrete jungle that's not so appealing, no actual nature around

however, I do really like to hangout with the cats outside, at the backyard/patio... especially at nights

Yes I like to watch animals, nature and people 😂… it’s so calming. I remember in the Philippines, I used to sit outside at night on our balcony and watch the stars and close my eyes and listen to the crickets and just lay down and pretend I’m somewhere so far away in the darkness. I loved the feeling. I still do that sometimes here in ca. I like to also smell the clean air and fill my lungs with it and just enjoy the sensations.

We live on part of the ranch/farm that I grew up on and I love sitting on the front porch in the early morning or after dinner in the swing or old wooden rocker especially after a rain and smell the rain and wet grass. Our closest neighbor is mom and dad and they are 2 miles away.

We have. a nice back deck over looking lots of trees down the hill. We enjoy our deck and eat there often whenever the weather is nice.

Love it. I grew up in the country/forested area. Just hanging out and watching nature is wonderful. I wouldn't do that here cause "nature" is cars, trucks, motorcycle, etc.

Hahaha I was scared in the beginning but it's a really calm neighborhood, with old people and lot of families and I always make sure to close the balcony door at night.
Also this backyard kinda area is surrounded by a fence on the left and right, so only my building complex and the one on the other side have access to it

Lol it's not your safety it's your upstairs neighbor I don't wish that upon you but people above usually are the biggest retards ever sometimes. I had people above me once in Norcal when I lived up there and all theybhad was domestic violence going on upstairs multiple police visits and constantly throwing ish on the ground everyone was happy when they finally got evicted hahaha. So from now on I always choose the highest floor lol or I won't live there lol
