What is your favorite childhood memory, and why does it still hold a special place in your heart?

My answer-One particularly special memory from my childhood involved lying on the warm cement in my backyard and cutting up a succulent plant to pretend I was a witch. I would run around with my dog, relishing the freedom and joy of being outside in such a peaceful, safe environment. This memory meant so much to me because my childhood was a difficult time - my mom was verbally abusive and my brothers were mean and would hit me and drag me out by my feet or hair. My mom never wanted to spend time with me, so being by myself with Flan provided a source of comfort and escape. I also had a little routine where I would catch and release a white butterfly over and over again, which was so much fun. All in all, this memory is one of the few happy moments I had during that time of my life.

I was hot summer day, I sat on windows and looked outside. My grandma slept on the couch and I wanted to walk outside and wanted to play with other kids. I felt first time sadness in my life. It felt like a heavy stone on my breast. Suddenly my father came earlier from the clinic and took me to public swimming pool. I was so happy in this moment, it was probably my first feeling of happiness either.
My father had a Citizen watch on his wrist as we were in water and this watch filled with water and stopped. I found this watch years back and thought about repair. However I don't know if I will repair this watch and give it to my father back I will lose this happiness that started at moment this watch stopped to run. I didn't feel sadness since then without a real reason like losing someone I loved.

Being with my dad teaching me how to throw a baseball. We were really close. Just doing different projects with him and being with him because he was my dad. I miss him 😢

the times i used to play man hunt with friends, took it very seriously that we wore camo and shot each other with water guns, damn how life changed smh

My fav memory as a child is climbing a huge pine tree in our front yard. I could climb all the way to the top and sit their for hours.
