I still love video games and I’m a hardcore gamer at nearly 25 years old. Not to mention I like amusement parks and toys too. I’ll play Roblox, Fortnite, Horror games, Mario Kart, etc. I’d rather be gaming than caking my face up , I’m definitely a tomboy.

+1 yBack in the day, my brother made a name for himself in a game called X-Wing vs TIE Fighter (which was the multiplayer version of the older (and truly awesome; if you haven't played them, you're missing out) games X-Wing and TIE Fighter). There was a guy he ran into on Usenet who'd posted a 1-1 challenge to any comers, and had crushed everyone who'd taken him on.
My brother, using extremely unconventional cleverness, managed to beat him eventually, and the guy was so impressed that he teamed up with my brother, creating a clan. It turns out the guy was a former fighter pilot, was in his sixties, and was so incredible because he understood the psychology of how people handled aircraft, even space-based ones. His reflexes, while sharp for his age, were slower than a younger person's would've been, but he was phenomenal- I watched him over my brother's shoulder a few times.
If HE can do that at an age far past yours, you're still good in your mid-20's.

+1 yNot at all! 38 years old here and I still play WoW; been a gamer since I was a kid and got an NES for Christmas. Not to mention, several of my gaming buddies are in their 40s and 50s- last I checked, there is no age limit if you really enjoy a game!
If it's fun to you, play it.

+1 ywell i'm 30 and i watch anime all the time, not t o mention i as well play roblox on daily basis, for your peeps and kids it does seem weird, but for me it isn't, it's my life my precious time and if playing games or watching anime or whatever is how i choose to spend my life then that is that. End of story, Ignore those who disagree, none of them are in your shoes or living your life. Remember every second that passes is a second you are closer to death so time really is incredibly precious if you look at it like that. So if you are doing something that is making you happy instead of doing things you don't like and have regrets about later on then its definitely ok in my book

+1 yAt this age you need to play with your child already. Its definitely better than playing by yourself. It I'll get even worse. You won't achieve anything in your life if you dont stop playing games. Its counterproductive.

I'd recommend stop being a hardcore gamer and invest part of the time in learing some useful skill. Just play games less.

@artgorgeous I get it. I kind of have a little trial in the meantime what it’ll be like to have my own kids in a few years because one of my jobs involves being with kids five hours a day five days out of the week. I plan to write and publish a book in 2024.

what do you want to write book about?
+1 yI don't think so I love them still as well and I'm nearly 24. They are an interactive story some sk in-depth that they cover a whole range of different things. Some are just super light hearted and fun and a nice escape from stress plus are relaxing to play. Others can make you think in different ways and work on your problem solving skills. Plus you can interact and socialise with people on games there is a big range of benefits. And a lot of games are just a different way of telling a story.

4.9K opinions shared on Other topic. Nope. As long as you understand there's and outside world and remember to stay connected to it who really cares. Let me tell you right now hun. You're never going to reach an age where people won't judge you. To quote Lily Tomlin "the problem with living life in the rat race is even if you win you're still a rat". Do what you love and no one else can nor should tell you what that is.

@Berethor well as long as it's not stunting your growth as a person why would it be a problem? We all have different experiences. I used to play WoW. One day I added up how much I had spent on that game and that's why I quit. I don't regret it, I enjoyed the time. But I felt it was emblematic of I had to step away. But I had a ladyfriend who met her husband playing WoW. They been married for over a decade now and have 2 kids.
So I think we need to remember there is no TYPICAL gamer experience, or gamer for that matter.

@Berethor Gotta have a story. I'm doing Breakpoint right now, but work has sucked and I haven't played in about a month. I like RPGs and the original COD:MW trillogy. Actaully found that really therapeutic. Buggy piece of crap that it was, Medal of Honor Warfighter. I loved Final Fantasy before they went MMORPG/real time. It was nice having a turn based game that I could do while still tending to life. I'm going through an 80s/90s revival of sorts because I've got one of those joysticks with a bunch of games on it, so beating all the quarter munchers that I could afford to beat as a kid. How about you?
