I'm asking anonymously because I don't want him or others on FB to find my question here. He only spoke to me once way back in 2009 or 2010 and requested me on FB. Then by 2018 or 2019, as a way to get over him (he was married at the time; now it seems they've gotten separated or divorced), I unfriended him. I felt bad though but did it. This is the same guy I've admired since 7th grade and he was in 8th grade. He must now be like 38 years old and is a doctor. Nope, I never got over him after all these years.
Then recently just last Friday, I reconnected with him. This time I reached out to him and he's back on my FB list. This is how the brief conversation went:
Me: Hi
Him: Hi!! How are you!!
Me: Good here. I accidentally took you off the list so I sent you a request. Nice picture.
Him: It's ok You in Florida or Peru?
Me: Lima, Peru
Him: Great to hear from you I want to go!! I almost went last year. I love Peruvian food.
Me: Great. Just let me know in advance if you come. It's great hearing from you too. Well heading back to work. Can you add me.
Him: Just did. Take care!
Guys what would you think if you were him? Did I make it obvious? Would you've noticed it?

anonymous, are you familiar with hsps? highly sensitive people? i try not to armchair diagnose people, it’s just that some people actually have longer nerves than others. are you sensitive to loud noises and flickering lights? I don't know, they also tend have intense experiences with art , music, and love. anyhow, no i don’t think you made anything obvious. it just seems friendly. what is it that you liked about him so much?
It started off with physical attraction and I still remembered his voice from back then in middle school and HS. He used to make a couple jokes, he seemed like a responsible student, family oriented and the one time he literally told (some arrogance in that statement but he was just a teen) me "I will be a doctor". In the end he became a doctor. He's a radiologist.
