I'm excluded from this conversation.. my mother was awesome and talked with everyone. I'm a bit pickier, but still know how to treat men from her, I think. She should have given classes. She would have been in high demand.

I'd like men to tip their hats and say "ma'am", respectfully, when they see you.
I'd like men to go to your dad's house and ask for permission to call on you when they're looking to take you to dinner.
I'd like men to watch their language around you, and dress nicely when they come to call on you.
Sadly, all of that went away in the 1800s, and it's unlikely to return. Men will likely keep referring to you as their "b*tch", and talk freely about how they see you as nothing more than a piece of meat, sorry to say

It's the little things that count, tipping one's hat is a sign of respect, which men damn well sure ought to show when around ladies
