Why your prejudices about someone are almost always right

I'll be blunt. Prejudice often has a negative connotation because of racism, but down to the single individual, often your gut feeling about them is right.

Someone made me notice that a couple of years ago I was more "lovey dovey". And they are right. As an example, here's some of the stupid crap I used to write

Why we should try and be kinder to one another

Every person you meet is a potential treasure!

Disgusting. If I met that past me, I'd beat him up and send him to the hospital to teach him a lesson.

Life is about growing up and maturing, and this entails learning that it's a dog eat dog world and you have to eat or be eaten.

This also entails classifying your fellow human beings to determine who's a threat, who's a prey.

Let's see why your prejudices about someone are justified.

- Gut instinct is almost always right

Why your prejudices about someone are almost always right

If you feel threatened, disgusted, uneasy about someone, you are probably right. If you feel they can hurt you, they probably will. Don't give them the chance.

- Excluding people is way better than including.

Be selective. Don't allow anyone in your world without proper vetting and be ready to cut them off the moment they stop being useful or supporting.

- Forget the good, never forget the bad

Why your prejudices about someone are almost always right

The bad in a person always outweighs the good. Always. So judge people on their mistakes and slights - because while they probably won't repeat the good things, they'll almost certainly slight you again.

Those were my points. If you got more, feel free to share them.
