Why do people "test" each other?

Whether it's a friend, family member, or significant other. I always just wonder why people feel the need to possibly create unnecessary drama. There are some cases when its understandablelike suspecting them of cheating or something, but other wise no. You are not god, so Idon't need you to "test me"

Insecurities would be my best guess... Or if there's reason for suspicion, it might be reasonablly justified...
Or, like you said, it might just be to cause drama.
The same reason kids (errr... and adults...) like to play with fire or blow things up with gasoline or fireworks. It's fun and exciting to see the reaction and flirt with danger!

Some people really do thrive off of drama. Why do you think so many people watch the news, sometimes for several hours a day? It's not because there's anything good, but because we like the drama!

I understand the frustration about this 'testing'. If I got to know that someone was 'testing' me, I would sever all links with that person and probably distance myself from him/her.
