I just don't really think it would be fair to me...

It feels bad enough that I can't carry my own child, to have to hire someone and watch them literally grow my baby for 9 months seems almost unbearable. I mean it's seriously depressing.

Oh. I can understand that. Still, you'd be able to watch your own baby develop, and that would be a plus. You could look at the ultrasounds, maybe bond with the surrogate, it could be fun.

[Asker]

It doesn't sound fun to me. It just sounds sad, and like I'd be jealous the whole time.

I'm so sorry. As a guy I just think of it as having someone else do the heavy work, I never thought of being jealous of someone else doing the hard work.

[Asker]

As a woman you always hear how much women bond with their babies when they're pregnant. I just want that, but can't have it.

[Intraluminal]

I'm sorry. I never thought of it from a woman's pov, as a feminine act, but of course it is. You are pretty young to be worrying about this already. You know that they'll be doing uterine transplants soon, right?

[Asker]

I'm sure I won't be able to afford it haha.

[Intraluminal]

I'm just mentioning that because you're so young to be making these momentous deçisions so early in your relationship.

[Asker]

Oh haha yeah. I mean I know 24 is quite young but the fertile window for a woman is quite small compared to a man.
