So I'm 18 and my male teacher is 40. He thought us sport. But he also helped me a lot with my anxiety. I graduated last week and I texted him to say thanks for everything he has done for me and he replied saying that it wasn't a problem and he sent a winky face. Was this creepy? (I had his number because I ring him if I'm upset and he calms me down) he's also a councillor so that's why he supported me!

Adults usually don't have a big knowledge about what's going on in texting slang and emojis. For them, winky or smiling emoji can be seen as something completely positive and nice while for us - as something creepy and sarcastic so no need to be that concerned. It's just a generation gap
