Cheating on a person means you have no regard for whatever it is you have with the first person. If you started to think that things aren't working out, you end it with that person first instead of going around screwing with other people. Honestly, I don't think cheating happens by mistake. It's a choice, an option that you preferred because you are too scared of being alone if you let go of the first one.

Depends on the diamond really. Cheating is a dishonorable act and a mark against your character. I could never be in a relationship with a girl who had cheated in her past, sure she will have "reasons" why but to me she'd be a foolish bet.

I disagree. It is far worse. Diamonds are very common, and next to worthless. It is only by market manipulation that they fetch the price they do. Besides, they are just material, a heart is far more precious.
