Guys, please explain what "I love everything about you" means?

My boyfriend said it to me a few times. I have answered the same thing without thinking. The truth is, I wanted to say that I love him but I was scared.
What does it mean when a guy says that? Does he mean he's in love with me? Is it less scary to say I love everything about you than I love you?

he's got you on a pedestal in his mind. the flaws will start to stick out when the honeymooning phase runs through. it'll be at that point that you'll need to work together despite the little things, nay, because of the little things, or fall apart.

of course he may already be past all of that and be saying it because he loves you flaws and all
