Does it mean anything if my boyfriend kept hugging me while sleeping?

I've been with him for 2 years
And yesterday, I slept over at his
I sleep at his place every weekend
And he does cuddle me when we are about to sleep
But then we change position and sleep apart

Yesterday was different
I was kinda sick tho
And when we were sleeping, he kept cuddling me/hugging me and kept kissing my forehead and cheek
And when I got up to the toilet in the middle of the night and then came back to bed, he hugged me again and asked me if im okay and then kissed my forehead and cheek again and saying "love you"

he's never been this affectionate while sleeping lol and never kept cuddling me the WHOLE night

Is this weird?

I don't think it's weird. My girlfriend and I stay in physical contact for a lot of the night - either with my arm around her or with our legs intertwined or even when we're sleeping facing away from each other we'll have our backs touching or something like that.

We both have high scores for Physical Touch on the 5 love languages quiz (www.5lovelanguages. com) so we both really like that kind of physical contact even in bed while we're sleeping.

It sounds like it's a change for you, but maybe that was just because you weren't feeling well and he was concerned about you and so he was more affectionate. It will be interesting to see if it continues when you're healthy again. How do you like it? One of my exes wanted no physical contact while sleeping but my girlfriend now loves it. Different people feel differently about it.
