What are my ex boyfriend's intentions?

My ex boyfriend and I broke up almost two years ago. We had a very bad breakup, we hated each other.

Now fast forward two years later.he wants to hang out. He has been writing me online trying to get me to call him. He says we need to talk face to face. He also said he thinks we should be friends again because at one point I was his best friend. We were really close when we were together but we were never JUST friends.EVER. If we are both online he sends me a message. He even invited me to his new house in Malibu and when I didn't show up, he got mad at about it. (I never said I was coming, I said I might)

My question is what are his intentions? I'm a woman, so I'll be honest and say even after everything I still love him and have a lot of feelings for him, so I think my judgment may be cloudy because of what I WANT his intentions to be. Does it sound like he just wants to be friends?.or maybe more?.

Okay first of all let me tell you that I went through the EXACT same thing! My ex and I had dated for 3 years and even talked about getting married.I had a ring and everything! We were each others best friends.then just like you a really really bad break-up followed (he broke up with me due to "not knowing if he was ready to grow up yet.") but anyways, same thing.eventually he started calling me and trying to hang out and telling me how much he missed me and regretted his decision. Now this sounds like what your ex is starting to do, so I have to warn you. there is a good chance he is not being sincere! In my situation, we would start talking again and trying to hang out, and he always knew just what to say to make me fall for him again but it never lasted long. This would go on for a few weeks, then I wouldn't hear from him for a month or two. Then he would call again randomly and tell me how much he still loved me, and missed me and stuff, but the same old shit would keep happening. He even tried to get with me while he was with a girlfriend for a year! But my point is that I finally came to realize that he was just sort of using me for an ego boost. Like I was comforting him and his ego by letting him know that I still had feelings for him, and the ball was in his court so to speak. So just be careful. you don't want to be some guys ego boost, because maybe he's not having luck with any other ladies so he's like "well my ex will still get with me!" But on the flip side, he could just really have realized that he misses you and you were good together. I am a strong believer in 2nd chances.but not 3rd or 4ths! haha. personally girlie, I think he might be playing you slightly. I don't want this to sound as harsh as it might, but maybe he hasn't got anyone else. I know that sound cruel but boys have a tendancy to go back to someone they knew it was good with, and in your case, he probably knows that you will still have feelings for him, as unfortunatly as you said, us girlies do have a tendancy to hold on to them feelings (GOD DAMN THEM!)

Just play it cool, you could always meet up with him, but ONLY do this if you know you can play cool and have the ball in your court at all times. otherwise, talk to him, try and figure out what he wants from you.

IF you get any kinda feeling that you are purely there to pass time, get out and get out now! I did it with an ex and it hurts like hell! good luck x

ummm.id say go for it. if you guys were that close before then you should really try to get some what back the way you were. DEFINENTLY have that talk but try and make it about why you guys hated each other and what happened that messed things up that bad. or you could already know. but also talk to him about where he stands with you and what he wants if anything. he may want to try again or maybe he just misses his best friend. and if you still like him then you should prob tell him. not right away but don't wait too long.

He could be showing off. He could be genuine and want to be your friend. He could still like you. Unfortunately, we don't know him like you do. How does his current behavior fit into what you know of him? Is it like him to still be attached? If he the type of guy who would want to find a way to throw it all in your face?

Think of what you know about him, and try to figure out why he would behave the way he is. Otherwise, you'll have to sit down and have a good talk with him.

i think you should let this guy let ouit his intentions for you take any step or he would may be end up re-breaking your heart by letting you kno he only wants you for friends but nothing else.Let him know you are keeping your distance because you have a mixed feeling about what is happening and so would nt like to subject to it.Just let this guy know if he wants something he should let you know since you can still be friends without knowing each other.watch out baby.to be hurt wans is too painful to give a chance for a secvond wan.

Sounds like he's trying to show off his life to you by showing you his new place. From what I'm reading it sounds like he's definitely trying to get you into him. Especially since he got mad when you didn't show up to his place. Anger=attachment.

I think he still expecting something from you. He still wants you and missing you. If you still want to be with him, you should think again about how you two broke up 2 years back and if it is the correct decision to go back with him now. You can be open and tell him how you feel and ask about his feelings too. Goodluck ^.^
